ehnkei I can't download your uploads =( I have been trying since you uploaded them, at first i thought i it was the links or perhaps the server so i left it a while, but still it wont work, so i tried Megaupload, Mediafire and still no download will work, I have tried troubleshooting but nothing
Usually i get a download speed of about 50KB but now I'm getting 4 and it sticks a third of the way through and crash's, does anyone what might be coursing it

Hahaha... how come we listen metal when we're younger? Come to think of it, if it weren't p'unk-en-ciel, I wouldn't bother try to listen any metal tracks, no matter how good they are.
Hehe, I used to listen to a lot of rock and heavy metal when i was in elementary and high school. Stuff like Metallica, Pantera, and Dream Theater. I still love those bands, but they don't release stellar stuff anymore, well, not in my opinion anyway.
To ehnkei:
ah, so that was yukki screaming in the beginning. how come i never thought of that? he sounds that way in all of his songs, wahehe!
Oh, by the way, Larc is number 1 in the Ninki rankings (from what i've read, a huge percentage of the people who intend to buy daybreak's bell are women in their 30's, hehe), so i'm sure they'll get the top spot in the oricon charts again. Way to go Laruku!!!
Descussion, I was on a video sight today and i noticed sevral comments, saying that Hydes voice didn't sound great and blaming the course on him smoking,
I was anoyed becouse i don't think Hydes voice has gotten any less as good as it has always been, infact i think it is better,
I will admit in a few TV performances his voice hasn't sounded it usual self but that can be for many many reasons, mostly the acustics in a TV studio and also Hyde is a human he has off days
It anoys me that just becouse a singer/band get older, peoples ears start to fail them and they think that they don't sound as good
Hyde has a voice unparalled and L'arc en ciel truly are the Japanese U2 and Rolling stones, in fact there better than both

Uh-huh. coz they started 15 years ago. So, lots of die hard fans are now 30's.
In the l'aniversary live, in one of Hyde's MC session, he mentioned about laruku's 15 years of existence, and back then the fans were still in middle and highschools, and look how the fans have grown old, i mean up!
btw, I still listen to metallica. They're classics!

Sorry, I don't have it uploaded to Veoh and I am very sorry that the links don't work. I'm curious as to how you were able to test megaupload and mediafire because the links I uploaded were only for sendspace (unless those links work for those other sites too?) But anyways, I'll work on reuploading all those videos on megaupload (megaupload is usually pretty friendly I think) and hopefully it will work.

I also have to admit that in some of this year's TV lives, Hyde's voice hasn't been its best and I think that's what the critics you speak of are judging him on since those tv performances are the band's most recent. However, I have to say that Hyde's voice is the same if not better than it has ever been and that judging on tv performances is a mistake. My Heart Draws a Dream is a perfect example: Hyde's singing on some (not all) of the tv performances of this song were not very good but, if you take a listen to the live performance in Korea, I'd say that's some of the best singing Hyde has every done in Laruku's entire existence.
With that being said, smoking may eventually take a toll on Hyde's voice but as of right now, it hasn't.

I have to say that HYDE's voice is like a fine wine; it improves with age. So as far as I am concerned, he is just getting better and better.

yup, that is so true, hehe! i've got my copy of lanniv dvd the other say but haven't watched it yet. i'm saving it for a relaxing weekend, hehe! and too bad its not subbed!
really? you like metallica too? i love their music from the 80's and early 90's. when newsted left, i didn't like them anymore.
about hyde's voice...its not as clear as it was back in their indie days, but its still beautiful as ever...to me it sounds ripe and mature...back then he sounded really young. but the cigs and coffee haven't really taken their toll yet, and i hope it never does.
Ah i checked Megaupload from links somebody else had uploaded, Its not just the links you uploaded but ALL!!!! direct download links for some reason my comp has quit all direct downloads at the mo I'm hoping that its a server thing and i will be able to download again soon
Some couple years back on an interview in a magazine, Hyde admitted that he smokes more than a couple of packs a day.
one thing: he has a good set of lungs for a smoker. He sings and in lives (which usually spanned around 2-3 hours) he managed to have the stamina to sing all the way 'till encore.
I think Hyde's voice is changing from all of those years. His voice is heavier and deeper and huskier. Try to hear Dune in recent lives and compare it with the Dune in the earlier lives.
It's all because of that smokes. I dunno why Hyde's smokes, but there are some singers smoke to make their voice heavier and deeper. Odd fact, but true.

That explains 666 @ Bukodan and SMILE tour, Rock Odyssey, Live in USA, ect. His throat was so scratchy and his performances were seriously lacking in energy. He was tired and sad looking that his earlier performances.
I think he's cut down now. He's always talking about his newfound love for singing now, so I think he's trying to take better care of himself now. Also, all of the energy is back in his performances. I heard some recordings of their newest tour, and he seemed really into it.

True. It's definitely one of his best aside from that girly pink top he was wearing. It was very controlled and powerful, not a single note missed or off-pitched. It sounded even better than the recorded single IMO. True that he doesn't alywas sound perfect and I noticed in some of Laruku's recent performances, I thought he didn't put enough emotion to his singing as the song sounded rather bland. But of course this doesn't make me like him any less. In other performances he's still able to pull off some of the most polished and sophisticated vocals I've ever heard, so I can't complain. One thing that bothered me was his FAITH era when he sounded like straining his throat too much. I was worried it'd affect his natural singing style, I was proven wrong. _________________

Now when I listen to FAITH, especially the FAITH Tour, I realize even though he sounds bad in most parts, his energy and life is back. His voice is very powerful, and he screams with little trouble. Also, even after all of that screaming, he can come back and sing beautifully, which he DEFINATELY couldn't do before.

Hmm.. i never get a good look on FAITH live. Watched the live once and I never get the chance to watch it over again.
As a comparison: I have a Summer Sonic 2000 live performance (audio) by Supercar. The vocals was really loosing out the stamina right from the beginning, and he was only in his mid twenties!
So, I still think Hyde's voice is on top performa. Tobacco or no tobacco, hyde sings powerfully.

DAYBREAK'S BELL IS AT NUMBER 1 IN THE ORICON DAILY RANKINGS!!!
Well, its no big surprise, ne?

Anyway, back to the topic. Its just that hyde's voice is so versatile, he can mold his voice to fit a particular type of song. His singing in Faith is altogether different from roentgen or laruku albums because Faith is a stripped-down, hard rock album. This type of music usually has a lot of screaming, guttural and raw sounds (which I think he managed to do perfectly) aside from soaring and melodic vocals. My favorite track on Faith is Mission, that song totally proves this point. Screams and soaring vocals beautifully combined.
Saikira maybe you have to reinstall windows, though it sounds to me as though there is a problem with the power suply, maybe inside the computer, though i admit i don't know that much about computers
My favourite song from Faith is Jesus Christ, that song just rips through you and leaves nothing left of your heart, the shear power, heartache, confusion, passion, devotion and desparation in Hydes voice it just is such an unbelievable song, everything about it is sheer....I don't even have a word for it
Also its true Hyde is a rare singer, even singers with voices like Gackts can not compare to him, but thats becouse its not the voice its the person, its Hyde, the Hyde inside that makes him voice the way it is, put that voice on another person and it would be as plain as 99% of all other songers
Can i make a couple of requests?
I just sobbed my way through the end of Moonchild and i was wondering does anyone have the instrumental piece that plays over the credits please?
and does anyone have a list of Hydes likes and dislike and some quotes please
GAH i really really want Hyde and Ken on the Puffy Ami Yumi show, but i can't use direct download still does anyone have this in reasonable qulity and an ability to upload to Veoh Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease, just the Unheroic battle section would be great
