Just wonderin...do any of you listen to english music?
I don't listen to english music whatsoever.. i used to though. Anyway, being here in Japan, the ratio of English to Japanese songs played on the radio would be like 1:4

i hate when people categorize who you are by what you listen to...
I don't hate that so much,.. it is more or less interesting because in my case I wonder what 'category' I would fit into anyway? I listen to 99% Japanese music so yeah..

And which bands do you think resemble l'arc the most?
I don't know about bands.. there are many that have a L'Arc feel to them in some of their songs, such as Glay (similar lyrics and the use of an orchestra). I would say Gackt comes very close in matching Hyde's singing voice however.
I know some of you will disagree, so therefore just listen to the song Orenji no Taiyou (IW̑z) on Gackt's CRESCENT album and try to pick out the parts where Hyde is singing, as opposed to Gackt. You should be able to do it, but they are quite similar to a degree.

Blue-tetsu, I listen to lot of English music... given that here in Europe it's the most common! Anyway there's nothing really similar... Japanese music is more similar to English pop music, that's completely different.
Anyway... I've heard some other songs by L'arc en ciel... One named "Driver's high", then another one which title I cannot read... it must be a single released on March 3rd or something like that.
Are these songs good? Which other titles do you suggest me?

The song released on the 3rd of March was Hitomi no Jyuunin.

What a hard question to answer. Everyone will most likely answer differently i suppose. I'll add some of my favourites (not limited to the ones i mention) to hopefully your ever-expanding list of L`Arc~en~Ciel songs:

- Winterfall
- Lies and Truth

Hey Jules....Funny I still haven't gotten my card....but that's probably my fault. Are you sure Hyde likes Linkin Park because I can't stand them lol o well.... My friend likes them too, but if you know how to play guitar you suddenly lose a lot of respect for them I think. Jules you should try out Incubus.....songs like crow left of the murder and talk shows on mute might suit your tastes.

yeah
hyde likes linkin park.. i like them too.. a lot[can say as my fav western band as i seldom listen to western songz]..
he said that before..when he was composing songz for 666 i guess
he said he was into linkin park at that time
n hyde actually likes english songz more than jpnese...
incubuS
i love them
they came to malaysia last few weeks..
damn i missed their concert..coz my friend lost the tix.. sobz
anyway
i have listened to smile alb..few of the tracks..
lover boy rocks..ahaha i thought it'll sound weird...
anyway
larc will be performing hitomi no jyuunin n revelation in nhk pop jam
>>> revelation..damn it sure sounds funny to me...
>>>feeling fine... WTF with the beginning...
O man...I feel so bad now that I downloaded their album....gotta say though its amazing Hyde's 666 album did sound linkin parkish but hyde's lyrics are way better than theirs....I just can't seem to respect them...its like I have a natural hate towards them....if they would only show some skills on guitar then I'd actually respect them, but they usually have like 2 chords in the whole song and drown the rest out with electronics which I don't like....hope I never meet them in real life...lol.
so far my favourite track is lover boy....revelation sounds too much like marilyn manson for my liking.....is it me or does time goes on sound like hillary duff?

Oh, wow... You cannot imagine how far I'm feeling from you now...
You really listen more j-music than English?? I'm literally amazed...
Here in Europe no one knows j-music (except of me...) and everybody listens to English music... You're on the other side!!! I feel like an alien...
I'd like a lot to have the chance to listen to all the j-music you hear...
Sadly the only way I have to listen to j-music is by Internet, and this means I have to download it... Sorry, I know it's not very kind... You like laec so much and I download their songs...
As I told before, it's hard to compare Japanese music to Western... In particular Linkin Park: they do a kind of music with a lot of samples and with electronic sounds... this doesn't happen in Japanese music, that's done in the good old way (talking in general... there are japanese bands like Rip Slyme or M-Flo who use electronic).
Sorry, I know I don't have your knowledge about Japan, so my opinion could be wrong...
i love song Coming Closer,Feeling Fine very much
cool music ^^;
and for song times go on(tetsu made word and music)
so sweet music ne
ps.i think REVELATION is good than other song that
yukihiro ever made in old album
Ps2.u all know? that L'Arc will made new single

You guys download everything before it is even released! haha..
I feel guilty doing that i guess.. i like building up the excitement and waiting until something is released- like the SMILE album (^^)v So when I buy it, i won't be like 'oh, it has that track which is so-so,.. oh, and this track too,..' etc. I want to be surprised (^^)/
Any comments?
p.s. i do download stuff before it is released btw,.. but for bands i love, i usually would rather wait a little longer.. which sort of doesn't make sense? hee hee

hey Blue... i've got a question... i think you should have an answer to this
you know L'Arc 's music is having an alternation. If you follow L'Arc from the beginning ( Dune ) until their last... and I pray to god it's not really their last... album Smile what do you think about their flow of taste???
if you ask me then i would definitely say i still love their first four albums ( with Sakura still around ) you can see it from my chart... but hey that doesn't mean I don't like the other albums... no you get that all wrong
well i dunno... L'arc 's early stages... their songs like were really made me hypnotized... like my second soul... ah and all that stuff... i know a musician like you might have got a clear view about this... Well let me ask you a question... which band do you find ... ever ... to resemble L'Arc 's songs at their early stages... as far as i noticed there's none...
But again i'm not an expert of all that stuff... So do you have any clue about that... and of course all of you can join me to figure out the answer... please someone i desperately need an answer
but anyway no matter what i still love LARUKU!!! it's the best band ever!!! _________________
