What was everyone else's first full L'Arc~en~Ciel album experience?
I first experienced it with GTO : Driver's High. Then, i searched for a long time on google... Driver's High is just a pure wonderful moment each time I listen to it -live or not. Then, the first album i listened to ? I can't remember But I remember it was really intense !
But i have a story for you. When i was discovering jrock, i had in my ipod every albums of the Pillows and L'Arc~En~Ciel. I listened to Larc's all shuffled. And When i first heard Honey, it was every minute of the song me more, and then, the awesome solo Like when i listened to Niji's. I had also unforgetable great moments with just the intro of Honey and Goodmorning Hyde (the acoustic intro) ... :

Sooka...well I also had hopes for my forum, I was planning on uploading more things, but since I don't have enough time because of school...but is still there and once in a while somebody writes...And I guess people join forums not only to talk, but also to download the latest things people got about the artist, so I don't know what to tell you ,gomen.... _________________

Unlike many of you i'm not an old-timer fan of Laraku. I actually discovered them by an english friend online. He told me about them and linked me to his page in which he had the "Ready Steady Go" "New world" and "Killing Me" with "Winter fall" so those were the first I heard from them and after a while I couldn't stop listening to them. So I went and ordered all their cds and since then I haven't heard anything other than Laraku music.

Ok having to start review from scratch again.
Lets get a discussion going about the new Hyde album when they have listened to it. Also people's favs if they have can pick out one song. Personally I think the album is that well put together I cant choose any song. On comparison with 666 which is heavier etc if I really have to do that. Faith is a polished album and there is a difference with an extra guitar to the sound. You can tell a difference straight away when you compare to past singles Hello and Horizon to Countdown and Seasons Call. Hyde has definately gone heavier. This is noticeable in Countdown adn the Break in Seasons Call. This continues onto Faith with the heaviest songs on the album Made in Heaven, Dolly and Its Sad. His lyrics complement the title of the cd. With Christ, God, Soul, Heaven etc. I think Hyde is on a moral journey on this album. Although I do not personally believe in God etc I still can enjoy the album.
On the rundown of the album
Jesus Christ - a nice simple guitar riff leads you into the song. "Jesus Christ I believe you" is the opening lyrics, more like Hyde I believe you to us Hydeists lol. " My Faith is reaching the Sky I'd do anything to save this life and God give me strength". Already we know what we are getting into for lyrics on the album. Nonetheless an interesting instrumental break, and good guitar riffs. We are definately going to need all the strength possible to get through this amazing album.
Countdown - The Japanese version, so the US will have the English version obviously. 12 11 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 Bring it on Hyde, this song plays with listener alot. From rocking to slightly teasing you on the guitar building it up on the chorus and Rocking Chorus. Great instrumental break with good guitar effects brings into the reprise of the chorus for non stop rocking, At the end of the song leaves us saying HELL YES HYDE I AM IN BRING ON THE REST OF THE ALBUM
Made in Heaven - Hyde is not gonna give you one moment to catch your breath yet. MMMMH comes in tastier than hot melted chocolate on Hyde's body lol. With a nice bass intro. This is non stop rocking action coming straight at you. at the break you are like oh no, please no Hyde I cant take anymore, this is too much rock, aaaaaah, my body cant take it.
I Can Feel - Great intro riff. This is a really nice slow song to give everyone a chance to catch their breath after all that hard rocking. Those fans of Hyde love ballads get ready "I can feel you, the breeze, the kiss, I cant believe it..... we are melting into each other...i can feel...waiting for this time..." Ok so now you are melting onto Hyde. This is pretty evil for the fan girls he is a married man. But i guess this will leave them to their own imaginations. Kaz has a nice effect going through this song. "Nothing seems to matter" indeed, this drifts you along sweeping you off your feet never letting you drop.
Seasons Call - I guess I dont have to brag about this one. Hyde is bringing back the rock slowly in time for Dolly there is a nice build up to it. Great intro riff and effect by Kaz. Makes you light headed and feeling like your body cant take anymore Hyde or he may mysteriously impregnate you, that is if your a fan girl. Nice building up to the chorus. "Because I always feel you in me". Yeah I bet alot of girls would like to feel Hyde ..... ahem anyway. The break seems a little unexpected, but nonetheless brings it into a nice reprise of the chorus.
Faith - Hyde kicks it up a notch, a slow intro riff brings it into a great verse riff from Kaz going all the way through. Hit those drums brings us to the prechorus bringing to the chorus. This is one great building up song. Good hi hats also in the 2nd prechorus. Seems like Hyde done the solo, very in Hyde style. After the break every hit of the guitar is a hit on your body, and you love every moment, begging for more.
Dolly - And more is what you shall recieve, one of the most heaviest songs on the album. Shake your head mad to this one. Opening lyrics. "It wont be long now til scientist program a soul into the AI". Interesting lyrics on this one kinda Ghost in the Shell. "where does a soul come from I wonder". With a break killing the music, to bringing it back in full force. A whirlwind whisking you up in the air and twirling you around. All bases belong to Hyde.
Perfect Moment - Another Hyde lyrical ballad, to soothe you, Hyde opening leaves you drifting in the air, "I drift to heaven beyond the clouds here my moment has come...for my life is over.. so perfect this moment" A song about the afterlife " I am happy to die here.. this moment". Lifting guitar riffs to bring you drifting to heaven with Hyde. This reminds me very similar to a L'Arc song. With the drum beat and sustained guitar at points.
Mission - Nice opening acoustic riff "Shake your body to the beat ... shake those worries from your head". "See the bigger picture..there has to be a better way". "With music, will guide us... with praying...come and dance with me". Pretty much everyone should be dancing their butts off to this song. "We can come together its not so hard to open up our hearts..." So this song is all about everyone coming together and being good to each other. "Our Mission is the same.. We reach our destination and realise our dream". So Come and dance with me is Hyde asking you to join him in being good to each other.
Its Sad - The last song on the album. What a way to end it woohoo. Rock Rock Rock. Remember that headshaking get it started again lol. "The times are crazy...wars are keep changing history..." So Hyde is getting a similar message to Awake that everyone should be more politically aware.
"A verdict has been reached the court finds the defendant guilty"
Bring on the rock Hyde wooohoooo!!! When the last chord has hit and the pick has slid down the guitar the album has left you breatheless.

Musical discussion is right up my alley, having done album reviews for publication. But that was more of rampant innuendo, with very little solid information.
Many of the songs bled together, I thought, but I liked Dolly, Faith and Made In Heaven.
His vocals were very good, clear and strong, even when screaming, and Kaz's guitar was on the proggy side, but it was different; different enough to be interesting.
Some very heavy numbers as well.
Though, oddly enough, the singles didn't quite seem to fit...
FAITH!!!! Thanxx for sharing! I already ordered my CD, so i first wanted to wait, but i noticed that i just CAN'T wait any longer.. so i HAD to listen to it!
After paying a few listen, all the songs are growing into me, i pretty like every song now. I can't really pick my favs out, but of the new songs i've to say they are(still) : JESUS CHRIST & I CAN FEEL & SEASON'S CALL's my top fav tho^^ The only too bad is... it's not enough!!!!!!!! I want moreee~~ Well, I like this album!!!!
Hold on a second, the cd will be out on the 26th. We're the 22th !!!
