Ok, I found out the theme song to Hatsukare is "Koi no Mahou" sung by Kana Uemura. April Story OST - April Piano http://www.sendspace.com/file/r9sklz This is from a 1998 Iwai Shunji movie featuring a young Matsu Takako. The story itself is very simple and the movie rather short. Nevertheless I found it quite enchanting.
