Aya Ueto is Naohito's love interest. 2003 is a remake from the original High School Teacher starrin Hiroyuki Sanada. Haven't watched neither of the series nor interested I am. There are enough dramas about teacher/student thingy.

I didn't watch 2003 version, but I heard 1993 version is better than its 2003 counterpart.
It's starring Sanada Hiroyuki and Sakurai Sachiko. It's very good.
Nojima Shinji, its writer, shows his pure genius here.
There are so many memorable quotes, and it made me to think a lot.
It's a sad drama, about the evil inside humans, but still, it's a reality. These things happen in real life. This drama is very different with typical Japanese high school drama or typical teacher/student drama.

I watched both of the versions, and Koukou kyoushi1993 was better and darker. But I saw the 2003 version earlier, and I like this too. I liked how Ueto Aya and Fujiki Naohito were acting.
