Computer hang up when you are doing something, especially in the middle of avi to mpeg-2 encoding and surfing the net Grumble . Haven't experienced this in a while, it's like almost 6 months of smooth performance before this hang thing happened =T .

Man, that's not good Sweat . So it happen to you often huh? As for me, it just happened earlier, when I was posting here while doing some encoding. The problem is, my encoding is already at 76% when it hanged up, now I will have to do it again from the start argh! .

How about reformatting your OS? That might solve your problem. If my computer begins to hang up 3-4 times a month, then I would perform a reformat. Right now it just happened once, just now, so I will still have to wait and see if it needs to be reformatted.

I have no idea. It couldn't be that I'm lacking in memory, because my memory is 512MB. I think I'll have to do some virus scanning and at the same time update it, just to be on the safe side. I haven't done this in like almost 2 months Bonk

Make sure the computer is properly vented. Heat is the worst enemy for any tech product.

Yeah, especially now that it's summer season here in Philippines. But the fan in the CPU is ok, and I always turn on the air condition when I use the computer. Anyway, the computer is working fine now Smile
