Being woken up from a deep sleep at 4 am by a disoriented BF who forgot Im sleeping on the couch sick, scared me half to death when he shouted "WHere are you?", and then not being able to go back to sleep at all.
Took Xanax finally at 9am for a couple badly needed hours.
Pneumonia is surely a giant PITA!!

Thanx, Tu!
Thanx, Krim!
HOt steamy showers 4 or 5 times a day are helping, I think.
This pristine farm life does not provide a strong immune system.
I feel like those poor American Indians being exposed to smallpox.
HELP!!

Must be the humidity... Maybe it's helping you clear your lungs.

Did someone bring over a diseased blanket, Eve...burn that thing
I hope you get over this bout of pneumonia toute suite. Can't be fun.
I'd be taking tons of Vitamin C in addition to whatever antibiotics your doc prescribed....when you're afflicted with such a serious illness your body's tolerance and "thirst" for vitamin c goes way way up. Man, I'd be taking a few thousand milligrams every 2 hours or so. The half-life of vitamin C in the blood is pretty short.

Argh! Lets hope the saying "When you get it once, you won't get it again" holds true.
Or have you had this before...? _________________

Last year I had something very similar, only this year Im twice as sick. I thought what you said held true until I ended up at the emergency clinic. Sigh. MAybe today the Doctor will say Im doing better.
@Tu- Im taking as much Vit. C as my stomach can handle. Its way upset from the meds and illness. I'll try a bit more though.
Im glad we have a whining thread here. Because I've needed it.
Today's annoyance: My mother calling me on the pretense of asking about my health so she can complain about the remodel on her country house. |
Yeah I understand....the side effects of meds can be rough on the GI....as can Vitamin C at times...best wishes. I just want you to get well soon, dood. I have this one type of Vitamin C that doesn't upset the stomach....it's called Liposomal Vitamin C....the vitamin C is encapsulated in nano-sized liposomes which pass through undigested in the GI tract and get broken down straight in the liver...it's like getting intravenous vitamin C...it's helpful when stomach sensitiviites are an issue.
Stay as well nourished as possilble and screen your calls ^_^
