"Why knee" (English) sounds pretty close to "wo ai ni" (Mandarin Chinese for "I love you," right?). I think that's what Douglas meant.

HEHEEE. I know speak Chinese, so i know that word.It easy for you say but i too hard for me.I afraid if i say that word, she will say "Dui Bu qi. Ni shi hou peng you".In English "Sorry,You just my best friend".I don't want that word coming out from her , so i decide to will keep my feeling even if it very very hard.Now just i can hope she stay as long as possible with me. I cannot say "wo ai ni" to her.I just can say "ni shi wo de hou peng you".In English " You are my best friend" Just that i can say.Not more than that.

Inamoto-san, if she really did say that she just wants to be friends, then I wouldn't advise dreaming too much about seducing her. Women make up their minds pretty quickly about who they want. If didn't say that (and are assuming that), then of course, I'd say go for it.

THats what I figured but I like to not assume.
People are very complicated for sure. But even so.....
Always having had male friends my entire life I find there is a strong dividing line between friends, and friends who are lovers.

I am dealing with this myself in my own way.

What works best IMHO when you find that special person: just love them, do what you can for them, tell them why you like them, but don't expect to GET anything from them. The GIVING is where the loving satisfaction is, IMHO. The Buddha asked us to not attach ourselves to expectations of results. I don't know if this makes any sense.
