That still happens to me on a daily basis. It's, uh... weird. Just a few days ago I had deja vu of a deja vu and of course my classmates laughed at me when I said that outloud in class.

A Deja-vu of a Deja-vu. That's interesting...
Yeah it's much better to say stuff like that here on a forum where you're at least semi-anonymous..
I have heard (and or read) some stuff at one point that said Deja-vu MIGHT be explained by some sort of repetitive data processing in the brain. It's possible that your brain might process a piece of "data" (if you will) and then mistakenly re-process the same piece of "data" a short moment later. Leading you to "recall" an event and it would appear, and or seem, like it happened before but in fact...it hadn't really it had just been processed twice thus creating such an illusion.
Of course...that's just speculation.

That's a pretty good EEE, as The Man calls it. It makes a lot of sense now that I think about it. But it still doesn't explain the random feelings of deja-vu when you know you've never experienced something before. Life is weird.

Better than that, I'm wondering if this thread can be the catchall for accounts of the unexplained when ya'll's recall them or once they occur.
I'll start out with my own simple tale:
Back a decade or so , back when I had friends , (hahaha, just kidding, just kidding don't be sad for The Man) I made a call to one of 'em, I dunno, probably seeing what they were up to or if they wanted to do something, whatever. Casual, nothing planned, nothing really intended.
I picked up the phone and punched in or dialed the numbers (keep in mind that I DID enter the numbers).
There was silence for a few seconds until I heard, "hello? Hellooo?" And I figure I responded with "hello" or "hello, who's this?" something like that. There was probably yet another silence. And, I guess either him or me said "____________, is this you?" And then the obligatory, "huh" or "what?"
Well, I'm sure there's some electrical engineering explanation (EEE) for what happened, but, yeah, I guess this is a situation where my friend and I called each other at the exact same time. I know, I know, it doesn't really seem like a big deal, but how I think about it to this day are the odds of something like that happening. And, to be fair, this was a friend I talked to on a regular basis anyway.
Somehow, subconsicously, we knew to call each other at the same time. |
That actually happened to me before. Only not with a phone. This happened about 4 months ago. I went to my friend's house, walked up to the door and without me knocking or ringing the door bell he opened the door.
Him: Oh, what's up?
Me: WTF?! How'd you know I was here?
Him: You rang the door bell...
Me: No, I didn't.
Him: *shrugs*
Me: *shrugs*
Then we played Halo.

Haven't any of you heard of the yogi berra saying..it's deja vu all over again? Anyways, yeah weird stuff happens in my dreams like ASZSephiroth said earlier when you dream of something and it will happen a few days later or something like that. It sorta reminds me of the time when a friend's dad told me the story of his old boss' house. The boss was very elegant and wealthy and so they had a armoire in their houes where they put stuff like tea cups and faberge eggs. There were also paintings in the house. The house was also built during the 18th or 19th century if I'm not mistaken. So my friend's dad visited the place once and he hears this story where pictures are flipped facing the walls and the tea cups and Faberge eggs were on the floor, but not broken, overnight. I believe there was the belief of some freak living in the house , but I don't think that was the case. I don't think anyone broke in either because that would be somewhat obvious. And while my friend's dad visited the house, there was an exorcist there.

Speaking of ghosts, I know a lot of my friends who say they've had experiences with 'em, directly or indirectly.
And it's weird, because since I've never experienced a ghost or whatnot, I find it impossible to beleive them. But the thing is that they aren't the lying type.
But I don't beleive 'em. 'Cause seeing is beleiving......
(On another note, Is it me or am I spelling beleive wrong? It looks wrong. I hate whenever this happens to me... ) _________________

Yup same here, people have told me they've seen a ghost before but I never have and until I see one then I will believe. I actually want to, I think it'd be kind of cool
And yes, "I" before "E" except after "C", LMAO

Thanks TANG, elt and blender1184.
Freck. They both looked wrong and I didn't know which one to pick. See how your brain rots after you've been out of school for 4 years????!!
I guess it's one of those times where you spell words wrong and you can't quite remember the correct way to spell them.

if you spent the nite at my house youd know it for sure. |
But I've never seen one..... EVER. Don't know what to believe.
Even when I try to seek 'em out, I can't find 'em. _________________
