I've been watching some of the London Hearts shows posted on d-addicts, and I was confused about something.

I was trying to figure out how the "Coming out onsen" scenes worked. Even with the subbed versions I'm still not sure what these segments are about, other than they have 2 people revealing their inner thoughts to each other.

Do couples or pairs of people sign up with the show so they can get to go to an onsen and get something off their chests? Or do they win some kind of prize? Under what circumstances do they hit the water jet button? When something is too secret to reveal? Does that mean they win or lose? Head Scratch

I readily understand the idol trap and dousukebe etc, segments, I'm just not sure what the background to the onsen segments is. Can anyone explain that to me?

Thanks!

As far as I know, its just an opportunity to confess something on TV, to get it off their chest so to speak. I guess it would like those daytime talk show in the states.

There are no prizes, at least not announced on tv, the studio may pay some ppl to come on the show or in the case where they're celebrity they would definitely get paid through their agency.

The water thing is not a win or lose, its just there to hit when you're pissed off at the other person, you can do it as many time as you like but of course the other person can retaliate in the same manner hehe

Ah, I thought the water spray thing was a one-time event. You get sprayed and it's over. Doh!

Thanks for the explano, Ruroshin, I've never seen daytime TV, so I'm not really familiar with the airing of dirty laundry on TV.

It's funny when it's in Japanese though Smile

Some of those romantic traps they pull are so funny ... and cruel ... but really funny. I laughed so hard at some of them I was hurting.

Which segment is the one where they have a guy in a restaurant or someplace, and he loses some money each time he peeks at some girl they bring in? It's funny watching them sneak a peek (through a mirror, a quick glance) hehe though I have to say, "I understand."

They did a dosukebe check in 2003-08-19, it looked like an outdoor patio/cafe where a young model in a bikini lies down in a deckchair as the lure.

The guy lost all the money Smile ha ha. Couldn't keep his eyes from roaming.

I'm sure they do this trap in a bunch of shows? I've only seen about 4 or 5 shows so far, the ones that were subbed.
