I actually get this idea from "bmwracer" in your post reply. thanx for your great idea. So now is the time for "the j dorama most talented actor or actress??"
For me, the most talented for the actor is Kimura Takuya. From young until now he had played in many dorama and i thinkhis talent was so great. his dorama was so booming (most of his dorama). But if there are no 2 and 3 there will be Fujiki Naohito and Hideaki Takizawa.
Then the most talented for the actress i think there are a lot of potwntial actress in Japan such as, Matsushima Nanako, Ueto Aya, Fukada Kyoko, Hasegawa Kyoko, Fujiwara Norika, Sakai Noriko, etc. So for the most talented i think is Matsushima Nanako , and the runner up going to Fukada Kyoko.

Fujiwara Norika can't act. They just use her for the body.
Kind of like Sorimachi Takashi. They just use him 'cause chicks like him and he had some successful dramas before.
Uchiyama Rina, Sakai Noriko, and Matsushima Nanako would be my picks for great actresses.

To be totally honest, I haven't seen nearly enough doramas to pick anyone... And if I were to pick what's-her-name, I'd get flamed. So I'll refrain from voting.

I have to disagree with you in this department. although that is my favorite j-star in fukuda, i don't think she can act all that well. a lot of her characters are in fact rehashed and very similar. her physical appearance is what sells in her drama. as far as acting skills, i think either tokiwa and/or matsushima is near the top, but i still prefer fukuda's looks over the 2 of them.
yusuke kubozuka or kimura takuya, probably. I think both are pretty talented and just overall good actors in general.
As for actresses:
I think Nanako Matsushima is the most talented of the bunch and can play a real wide range of roles. Her acting skills are top-notch. Otherwise, I'd say Rina Uchiyama or Kyoko Fukada. Aya Ueto is decent, though she hasn't had enough big roles.

I think kyoko was not that bad. Her acting is natural although the character are almost the same in every dorama.
But i don't think that "her physical appearance is what sells in her drama" is true. i admitted that her face is cute but her talent is also the reason that make her so booming. But still i appreciate your opinion.
And i agree that Tokiwa had a great acting.

Kimura Takuya is probably the best male actor I've seen. Long Vacation forever! He's my hero.
And probably Matsushima Nanako for best female actor. Forbidden Love and GTO were my favorites from her. Although I hated her character in Yamato Nadeshiko. And she's pretty hawt to boot. Can you say MILF?

i disagree.... kyoko is a damn good actor.... i mean just look at Fighting Girl, Food fight, Friends, and Otousan...just ah... don't mention First Love nor SOS... since she is pretty weak in those.. IMHO
