The below is all true, i would like to give some shine to shin koyamada..
He submitted his application to the film via email and got it.
After Tom was captured he rode into the village (behind Sanada!) with his gold vested armor looking every bit the warrior. And his line of the movie "jolly good" was spat out in utter contempt.
When his topknot was cut off i burst into tears, i bawled like a baby in the theatre!!
And when he *i can't say it, wipes tears* i lost it again.
He did it for me and is the reason why (and KEN) i watch the movie over and over again.

Well... Ken Watanabe rules. He should be nominated for the Oscar as best supporting actor as well (and actually get it *shakes fist at the jury*).
Shichinosuke Nakamura protrayed an excellent Emperor.
Masato Harada... his Omura was, I dunno, he had his moments, he did well.
Shin Koyamada and Hiroyuki Sanada just rocked.
and now the big surprise:
Tom Cruise. I'd say he did well, actually I think it's his best movie ever lol (closely followed by "A few good men"). The fact, that the script was inaccurate and partly full of shit wasn't his fault. Counting those circumstances he really pulled off a good performance.
and finally
Koyuki... first of I wouldn't call her "hot" (actually I wouldn't call any japanese actress "hot"; I don't think it fits them). Her Taka had a certain aura of elegance, charm, grace and beauty. She really did a good job.

now, to bring this topic back, saw the movie for the third time on saturday.
i had so many doubts about the movie, i swore at it every time i saw the trailer but when i watched it i damn near broke into tears, (laffing at the emperors sililoquy atthe end, kinda hillarious)
i saw koyuki in the last samurai for the first time, now i have a obsession with her i adore her

"Ambassador, I have concluded that your treaty is not in the best interest of my people. "
"So sorry but u may not" I was like YEAh! Too bad Katsumoto had to die for him to stand up and be a man! The best part was when he offered Omura Katsumoto's sword.
About koyuki, i never hear from her, it's almost as if Ken and MOSTLY Tom got any interviews. I haven't read anything about her either.
