Hey i just saw the trailer but koyuki was not there XD..... is she really part of the cast? but m pretty sure IMDb is not lying. I also saw some pics of her upcoming movie Blood the Last Vampire at IMDb. God she's so beautiful in white kimono. U gotta check it out.
According to the cast info, Koyuki would apparently be starring along side Tony Leung and Kaneshiro Takeshi.
I'll have to be on the lookout for more about this movie.[/quote]

Koyuki replaces Kikuchi in "Kamui"
Mon, May 5, 2008
Director Yoichi Sai's adaptation of the Sanpei Shirato manga "The Legend of Kamui" has found a new heroine. Late last year, Rinko Kikuchi was dropped from the cast after she suffered a serious injury during filming. Her character, a female ninja who clashes with the protagonist (played by Kenichi Matsuyama), is now being handled by Koyuki.
The action-packed film is said to be aiming for international release, especially in North America. In addition to Matsuyama, who has become popular around the world thanks to "Death Note," Koyuki was originally offered the part as a respected actress with some international exposure. She appeared in the 2003 film "The Last Samurai" with Tom Cruise, and she has also been cast in the upcoming "Blood: The Last Vampire" movie with Korean star Jun Ji-hyun. However, due to her schedule, Koyuki was unable to take on the role.
Filming started in November with Kikuchi, but after her injury, the project was delayed. At one point, there was even talk of the film being completely stopped. But Koyuki was offered the part again, and she agreed to come on board with some adjustments to the schedule. Koyuki begins filming her scenes this month, which include a sword fight and a horse riding scene.
The completed film is still scheduled for release in 2009.

Koyuki stars on the silver screen
Friday October 10, 2008
Actress Koyuki is finally getting her turn to star in a motion picture. She has been chosen for the lead in "Shin-san," based on the novel of the same name by Tomoki Tsujiuchi. The film is being directed by Hideyuki Hirayama.
The story is set in a coal mining town in Fukuoka during the 1960s. Koyuki plays Michiyo, a divorced woman who moves from Tokyo back to her hometown in Fukuoka, bringing her only son with her. She eventually falls in love with a young man named Shinichi (Shin-san), who is 20 years younger than her and is classmates with her son.
Child actor Ren Kobayashi plays Shinichi as a youth, while Takuya Ishida portrays him as a young man.
Filming started in the middle of last month. "Shin-san" is scheduled for a 2009 release.

Can I ask you where you found that magazine cover? I used to get them from the magazine's site, but they just changed to a preview movie rather than the simple cover photo, and that image is actually bigger than the one's they used to have. _________________
