Just curious... is this for your day job, or just for your own enlightment?
It's really for my own enlightment... Actually, I've been programming since I was a kid, so reading about programming is a regular thing for me. I've even written national papers on various programming theories, including a term paper on (and I'm not joking about this) the Michael Jackson method of software engineeering, published in Dr. Dobb's Journal back in the mid 1980's.
This book contains (6 emperors to be exact) roman emperors' sex life... Very interesting and amusing. So..in the ancient time this kind of gossip did exist.

Hey, reading about other people's mistakes is very good... That way, you know what sh*t you shouldn't do in the future.

I'm still reading Life; The Universe and Everything from Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy...I read it on and off so it's taking me a while to finish...and it's a pretty thin book too....
But I just finished No Logo by Naomi Klein...loved it....
Dude, if it's got pictures, I'm there... Growing up in the television era, I'm all about visuals and images... Straight print bores me most of the time... Unless it's about Japan.

Not a problem, bud... You wouldn't be the first to flip me off... It is one of the more innovative ways, though.

Once I'm done with Murakami (within the next 2 days) this'll be the next one:
"The Pillow Book of Sei Shonagon" been looking forward to that for quite some time
and after that "Genji no monogatari" I've been waiting for that a long long time *beats amazon*
i'm halfway through sei shonagon! she's an interesting character - not perfect and you can see she's somewhat sheltered and spoiled and occasionally not nice, but it's an interesting look at the heian dynasty. i'm going to read genji monogatari after that.
