I found the hardcopy of Sadako, but it was mostly a picture book, with no text. Puppy Dog Eyes. I'll keep my search going.

I just started reading the novel Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. It is about a man who is an Australian escaped convict and former heroin addict, who ends up living in India through his forged passport. His life changes drastically in India. The book is 936 pages. This book appears to be semi-autobiograhical. Thank goodness for libraries! I am only on page 100 and so far it is very interesting!

Part of the reason I am reading this book is because it is due to be made into a movie in 2007 starring Johhny Depp as Robert's character Lin. Puppy Dog Eyes Applaud

I can't wait to hear Johnny's Australian accent. He does so well with foreign accents. Good book!

I'm re-reading all 5000+ of my comics as I pack them up into boxes. I need to refresh my memory before I open up all the new comics I've gotten in the past few months. I forgot just how grand X-Men was! w00t!

Re: The Good Earth I read that book many years ago. Pearl S. Buck was one of my favorite authors when I was growing up. They made that book into a movie, but unfortunately Hollywood used non-Asian actors as the leads. Pearl S. Buck opened up my mind into everyday life in China, when there weren't many books to read at the time about it, and for that I am grateful.

Some comics are better than novals, in terms of plot, character development, theme... etc. I think they're so underrated. If you can't appreciate them as art forms, appreciate them for their ability to tell stories, ya know?

But I guess some people can't get comics. It's like getting beer. You have to acquire the taste. I don't like beer.

I don't dislike reading, but I don't read much as far as books, novels, etc. are concerned... Just not my bag.
