Sorry to hear that The_Lyrics. Reading can be so relaxing if you find a topic that interests you. Or it can take you far away to people and places just by using the author's words and your own vivid imagination. Not quite the same as watching DVDs. Of course some folks may have dyslexia or eye problems and then of course I am sure that reading might not be a fun thing to do. I am not always in the mood to read. It takes concentraion and patience.

The_Lyrics maybe in another thread you can tell us what type of activities that you do enjoy. I know that b-kun enjoys many other activities besides reading. Big Grin

Exactly. Books are just little worlds that you can visit and got lost into. I find reading helps me nurture my imagination. I think I'm always reading. Every week I start a new book. My personal library is growing, but I've packed most up so I haven't read a good one for a while.

I do understand that reading isn't for everyone, but as an avid reader I feel sorry for all those missing out.

blink - malcolm gladwell
it's about the power of thinking without thinking.

i always say it in a bruce lee voice as it reminds me of his line in 'enter the dragon' when he says 'the art of fighting without fighting'. hehe

I LOVE reading. Can't get enough. In fact, my JDrama watching has suffered lately because i've been reading. Latest book: Wilbur Smith's The Triumph of the Sun.

Yup! He's one of my favourite landscape photographers. I always try to go see his exhibitions when they're in town. Smile

I'm also continuing my Marvel X-Men comic reading. Mr Green I'm almost caught up. Three more years worth left to go! yippee

Wait a minute: Does that count as reading? That would be like reading Playboy for the "articles".

LOL! Nuuuuuuu there's actually text in this book. About his work and life and such. It's like... an artist's textbook sorta thing.

Besides, books with pictures are still books. Bleah
