You'll become an elite in the club once you can complain about your co workers too. hehe

Just make sure co-workers and/or management don't know about this site.... Sweat

Doesn't apply in the working world.

Nor does it apply with regard to national security. I can't even say hello to anyone named Jack. You try.

LOL, I don't really have beefs with most of my co-workers. As for clients we always have some kind of beef or entertaining stories. Of course due to the HIPAA law I can't mention names. But we can speak of some things anonymously.

Funny? Let's see. I have a lady that I met briefly. She called me an hour later at my office to ask me if I remembered if she had her false teeth in when I talked to her because she couldn't find them.

Frustrating? Many of our clients with BPD (although *some* are ok). hehe Most med-seekers are annoying but some of them are okay with YOU, LOL. I have a lady who WHINES and FAKE-CRIES constantly, and making up wild non-sensical stories for attention and sympathy. It's really irritating and I have never seen an adult act that childish and badly. She's a med-seeker and a borderline.

^Sorry, it was my fault....I'm talking like this is daily common stuff everyone knows about Sweat

For those who may not know, bipolar is the newer and widely used term for the old term manic-depressive.

The really wild stuff can be with those who are delusional, dissociate, and/or hear voices. That's for another day! hehe

Absolutely. You can get that with borderlines, those hearing voices, and those with impulse control disorder....just to name some. I was in a session with someone who heard voices. She spoke so non-chalantly about it. She said her mind would race, then the voices came and it sounded like a radio, telling her she was so useless and to kill herself and others she was close to. She had cuts all over her arms and stuff. Pretty creepy stuff but she was a nice lady. Notice she was in a session, meaning, she was asking for help. You have to give her some credit for that. Some just go ballistic and don't want help nor think they need it.

Wow, you sound so matter-of-fact about it... Do you worry about your own safety? Sweat

Hmm, I can't say that sometimes we don't. We get training for those kinda situations and anyone who may be an obvious danger to us would be transferred to someone else who can better handle it. For example, if we girls get assigned a male convicted sex offender, they are transferred to a male with no questions asked, no matter how long ago it was and no matter if they don't exhibit any of those behaviors in front of us.

Of course we are pretty much always sided with if anything happens. We aren't always liable because we were looking out for our own safety. We are only liable to look out for them to a certain extent. For example, if they have an episode and run out into the street, we aren't responsible to put our hands on them and grab them because at that point they are out of control. We are only responsible to call authorities.

Anyway, usually they don't have a problem with us that they'd wanna hurt us. Sure, there's potential for it, but it's not common because we try to take precautions. If anything is questionable, we take someone else with us. If anyone threatens us, they are automatically taken off our load with no question. This week I get an updated training on how to handle physical situations.

I do have a whackadoo client who may or may not be a threat to me at this point, but things are still in the process. Long story. We'll see how it pans out. Usually they just get over it anyway or you are able to dump them off if they don't. I'm waiting for the ability to dump her off. If she does anything to anyone before then, she'll be locked up. Most of the time if they don't get over it, it's a matter of directing their focus to someone other than you.
