the kujira of a help desk manager walks in w/ the furniture/cubicle moving guys and says,

"how bout we move this wall back 5 feet and get rid of those two desks"
she points to the workstations in our area w/ empty chairs..

my supervisor stands up and asks what they're talking about...

kujira: "We're trying to consoladate space and keep the IT dept together, we're getting another help desk tech"

superv: (smiling) "Oh, well, dont try to take any more of our space, we need it."

kujira: (Oblivious) "We can get rid of those unoccupied desks right there."

superv: "Someone is sitting at that one (points to the desk w/ stuff all over it), and we're waiting to fill the position for the other desk (points to the clean desk).

kujira: "So once those are gone..."

At this point the moving company guy starts to walk away...

kujira: "So what do you think, will we have enough space if we move those desks."

moving guy: "Where are you going to put those two desks?"

kujira: "We can get rid of them, no one is using them."

moving guy: (standing at the entrance to our area) Looks at my supervisor (no longer smiling).. "I think they are occupied"

kujira: "No, look, there's no one sitting there (points to the obviously occupied desk), see."

moving guy: *exhales loudly and obviously, walks away from her*

Everybody that had perfect attendance in July(which includes me) got their root beer float today I am just SO F**KING PUMPED if they asked me to die for them, I probably would (sarcasm dripping from walls)

She's the help desk manager, right... so since she was hired, the help desk tickets have been getting worked on even slower than when they were just emailed to the help desk email group.

When help desk tickets get written up, guess who enters them into the computer.. CLIENT SERVICES... so 12 of them didn't get worked on because CS is too busy doing their own work... so what does she do all day... shop for shoes and concert tickets.

The perks just never end!!! We all got license plate frames(cheap plastic) with the company name on them. My boss asked me if I was going to put it on my car, I told him, "I'll drive thru downtown Baghdad with a Bush/Cheney bumper sticker before this crap goes on my car!"

What about a free root beer float?

Knucklehead boss came by my office wondering where a co-worker was... I told her, "he's on vacation."

the dismantle team left things in disarray..

so, our team got sent home early, with pay.
let's see how it is for tmrw....this week is going to be an interesting one as we start our transitioning to the new bldg.

i usually go there on weekends, and i even went during last Thursday, when we got out early, cause of this move..
