ARGH! The Head has informed me that their taking away one of our art courses to replace with a digital course, and we weren't part of the discourse!
He knew you'd object. Meanwhile, they've implemented a new system for taking lunch and breaks, it's determined by some program that supposedly can tell when the peak call periods are and when things are a little slow and it adjusts accordingly. Today, it had EVERYBODY scheduled for lunch at the same time. The manager wents nuts because there's nobody to take any calls. Hey, they told us we have to follow the program. I think the program still has a few bugs.
I'm going to talk to him in person... but I also wrote a letter. I hope it doesn't sound angry...
On another note, Semester 1 is over. I'll be getting all new classes next week. I hope they're as lovely as these past ones have been. _________________

So, I had this knucklehead customer call in tonight. One of the characteristics of DSL is that you lose some speed as the signal goes down the line. That's just how it is. If you have a 384kbps line and you run a speed test, you'll probably get around 320k.
Anyway, this guy has a 1.5mbs line, and he was complaining that it was too slow. I had him run a speed test and he said it showed his speed @ 1.197mbs. I said, "Well, that's almost 1.2m, not bad." He starts saying that it's "nowhere near" 1.2m! I thinking, "Eh? you're only off by .003, can't get much closer." I had to go round and round for about 20 minutes with this dimbulb trying to get it thru his thick skull. Some of these customers, you just wanna hit 'em in the head with a shovel!!

Too bad you can't cut his speed in half... Then the 1.197Mbs would be looking pretty damn good.

I don't envy you, G-mark.
Although fools like that are everywhere
The boss' son's girlfriend is filling in on our reception today. It's just as well I can't see reception from where my office is. She's stunningly beautiful and would be too distracting But she's a nice girl and not really aware of how good looking she is
