Knucklehead boss finally went home: she's been coughing up a lung for the past week. Shake Head

She's all stressed out about people coming to work sick and spreading their germs, yet she keeps coming in everyday. Crazy

Must be those blue-blood germs that only the upper class can get. Rolling eyes

Work basically is called work because it's work! We all wish we could have a job where we can just chill, don't see that happening anytime soon though! Fingers crossed

God one day at work and I am ready for retirement.
I learned today we have a team offsite day tomorrow to decide on our team strategy.

So far so okay youLd say BUT itLs already the third one in 4 month because of senior management changes. Everytime thereLs a new department head, team head etc we have to go through the same process. It became in fact just a tool for directors to profile themselves.

Then there will be GAMES - I am too old and too educated to buy this stupid motivational games.

Mr Green
I wish!

All I know is that it involves blindfolds because I have to bring in some scarves. At first I thought: great - naughty games!

But then I realised itLs probably some kind of game where the message is trust.

Trust is a word that is used very much in my company especially since redundancy rounds have started. Sweat

Kind of reminds me of when I was in the Navy and some admiral or high-powered politician was coming on board. We'd clean everything madly and they'd tell us "If he talks to you just say 'Yes sir or No sir' don't start a conversation, just look dumb and act stupid."

Luckily for me, that was my forte.

Ahhhhh another school year done.

This particular end-of-year was surprisingly sad. All the students that I had in my first grade 9 class have graduated. All the kids that I had bonded with and taught numerous times in various courses have all left. I've never received so many gifts before.

Although I'm glad the year is over and that my kids are entering the world, I can't help but miss them already. My job will be quite quiet next year without them and all the drama they bought to my life.

Sad

On a brighter note, almost all the gifts were asian related! Japanese stationary, kawaii mugs and stuffed animals, random Korean goodness, tea set... and a portrait my prized student painted of me wearing a kimono!
