Yea, Arnel makes amazing Gifs Applaud

I would like to see other people's Gifs and to see if anyone can make Gifs like Arnel Mr Green

One thing is to make gifs from existing videos, but to incorporate your own design into the mix requires some creativity and ingenuity.

And Arnel seems to have both. Thumbsup

Thanks, Q.

When you have Nana-chan as the subject, it's pretty easy to make a great gif. Big Grin

You can't make an entire avi an animate gif.. It's too big as you found out... You've gotta pick a small portion of the avi, then drop out a number of frames to reduce the file size further, but not so many as to make the animation choppy... Takes some experimentation.

Reduce your image size, bud.

And cut out more frames. Smile

The size on my current Gif I think is a good size, its just the # of frames and I can't reduce them.....unless I want it to look a little choppy. I'm tryign to keep my Gifs looking as smooth and as close as possible to how Aya looks in her movie or PVs Mr Green Had to take out the other Gif in my Sig and replace it with a pic so I don't lag Dial-up users all that much Mr Green *I know the pain and suffering you feel waiting for the page to load up*

That's the problem: it's too big... You have to trade frames for size or vice versa.

Small portion is good. I take screen caps like from my Aya gif i currently have up, the caps are taken over a period of 8 seconds or so from her Hello PV. Well 8 seconds seems small to me hehe

Well....I looked at other people's Gifs and I Like Makky's Gif, the dancing girl in the sig. Thought its cool Applaud Victory! Peace!

Yeah, from what I see of Arnel's sig and ava, his GIFs do look awesome. I think I'll invest in a GIF animator (when I have the budget) coz the freeware I'm using now does not allow me to crop or resize my GIF....and a whole lotta other stuff. All it does is animate the frames Shameful Cry

btw I use Windows Movie Maker to edit my mpeg file (saved to wmv format), then Easy converter for wmv -> avi conversion (freeware only allows for 5 min). After that I use gr44 animator for avi -> gif. The result is not as sharp as I want it to be but it's okay for now since I get to see an animated Tomoya-san everytime I post (which is one of the reasons I like to post hehe ).

Everyone keeps on recommending imageready (PS)....is there any other excellent gif animator in the market (affordable, I hope)? How much does it cost?

Yes, arnel98 is THE BEST in the forum when it comes to animated GIFs. Compliments to him for my sig. Yeah

I'm computer illiterate so chances are that I wouldn't be able to really learn much if he were to teach me how to do it. In fact, I don't understand what others are teaching users who inquire about it. Too much terminology for me. ---Yeah, I"m a "dinosaur". hehe Sweat
