I never could understand what was meant by CoSplay when I first saw it mentioned. I have just been looking at all these photos and they are so cool. What hard work goes into making these costumes and showing the character they admire.
There is only one thing that came to mind. How much more intelligent are these young people than some of the Hollywood ''stars'' who land up in jail for drugs and booze. Plus it gives entertainment to the public and no danger involved.
The cosplayers come from all walks of life. Many are working professionals, some students, housewives, etc. Some even come as families. It's more of a hobby, a craft in mimicking their favorite characters in real life! _________________

Vocaloid and Final Fantasy XIII characters seem to be the most popular. Of course, there would always be cosplays of other FF characters from 7 and up! (when they started making the characters realistic)
I always wanted to dress as Squall Leonhart. THeir characters do have very cool outfits. Terrific pics. _________________
