Seeing as my site has its own thread on this board, I thought I'd drop in and say hello! I'm glad the site's entertainment news is being read, though I'd prefer if people actually read it on the site. Our Forum is nowhere near as popular as this one, but drop by and maybe it'll pick up!

Don't worry about posting the occasional photo. Big Grin

Japan Zone is geting up to 100,000 visitors a month these days, so bandwidth is becoming more of an issue for me. Maybe I'll have to move to a cheaper hosting service or one that gives me more BW for the same money.

BTW, now that I have your attention - does anyone have any suggestions or complaints about Japan Zone? I'd love to hear your honest opinions.

Ah! Reason - it's not as "regular" as it should be! I've been meaning to send one out for some time now...

Okay. Here's a question for you - and remember that I'm asking this in all seriousness as someone with another website job and a family demanding my time as much if not more than Japan Zone - would you be willing to pay to receive a newsletter like the one I put out, if it were on a regular basis? How much would you pay? What would you expect it to contain?

Hi tokyoguy Wave

Nice website you had there Applaud
Keep up the good work !! Thumbsup

My suggestion for your website :

Could you put the list and the short (very short will do Cool! ) synopsis on every new season's JDramas ??
(Mainly from the top 4 TV station : FUJI TV, TBS, NTV, TV Asahi)

My problem is every season I open the official website for every new dramas but I don't know what's the story about Crazy

My question :

Is Rei Kikukawa really a new hot star in Japan ?
She's not really famous here among JDorama.com's members.

Thanks Mr Green

hmm..I know maintaining website is really hard especially if you have other things to do. Honestly it's not worth it to pay for that newsletter. Ok, I can understand your difficulties here. I also didn't receive regular newsletter from midnight review either but then again I can always drop by to the site and same applies to yours.

O yeah, it'd be a great idea of making a link to some jdrama synopsis in english I mean only the latest one from i.e Fuji TV, TBS, NTV etc..just like what enau said previously.

Thanks for the comments on the site. Information about new dramas is a good idea, but not something I'm planning on. Isn't that already covered on this site? I certainly wouldn't want to try and compete with this site and its coverage of dramas!

Kikukawa Rei is indeed a big star. She and Yonekura Ryoko broke at about the same time, though Yonekura seems to have had more acting work. Kikukawa is more of a CM girl/model. Her agency website says she was in four dramas during 2003.

Actually, no, I'm wrong. Yonekura has actually has had slightly fewer drama roles than Kikukawa. But she spent most of last year in the NHK "taiga" drama Musashi.

Anyway, my first day back at school tomorrow, so it's off to bed. Feel free to drop me a line at Japan Zone if you have any more comments/ideas/suggestions/complaints.

Here's an idea: Any chance of the mods making this thread sticky, such that the entertainment news is readily available?
