 A Korean-Chinese remake of the famous 1991 Fuji TV drama "Hyaku-ikkai no Puropozu" (101 Proposals), with popular Korean actress Choi Ji Woo in the lead role, is to air on the Sky perfect satellite network in April. The original series, which starred Asano Yuko (43) and Takeda Tetsuya (55) and had an incredible audience rating of 36.7%, will also be re-broadcast.

I think this is Yuko Asano ->

Actor Watari Testuya (63) has revealed that last year he filmed his role in the current NHK taiga drama "Yoshitsune" despite having pneumonia. He made the announcement on Thursday at a press conference to mark the end of filming. Last autumn, he told NHK staff that he had a cold, but was using an oxygen mask and checking into a Tokyo hospital every weekend. Watari plays the major role of Taira Kiyomori, while the title role of Minamoto no Yoshitsune is played by young heart throb Takizawa Hideaiki (22). The drama is based on "Heike Monogatari" (Tale of the Heike), the legendary story of warring clans in the late Heian Period. • Former NHK chief producer Isono Katsumi (48) has been arrested for the fourth time. The latest arrest is for defrauding his employer of \11.5 million in fictional production costs for over 30 TV programs in 1999. The repeated surfacing of such cases has severely hurt NHK's reputation over the last year or so.

Movie director Nasu Hiroyuki died yesterday of liver cancer at a hospital in the Tokyo suburb of Chofu. He was 53. He was known for several hit movies that starred popular idols, such as Morning Musume in "Pinch Runner" and last year's adaptation of the hit manga "Devilman." But his most influential film was 1985's "Bebop High School," another manga adaptation that starred Nakamura Toru and Shimizu Kojiro. • The movie "Ashurajo no Hitome" closed last weekend's Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival. Starring kabuki actor Ichikawa Somegoro (32) and actress Miyazawa Rie (photo, 32), the period/fantasy/romance story was adapted from a recent stage play of the same name. The catch phrase is "koi wo suru to, oni ni naru" (fall in love, and you will become a demon). The film will go on general release here on April 16. Producers say they would like to enter the movie at this year's Cannes Film Festival. • Talento, pin-up girl and the face of credit company Acom, Ono Mayumi (23) has denied rumors that she and actor Sasaki Kuranosuke (37) are planning to get married in June.

Actor Fujiki Naoto (photo, 32) is to get his first job hosting a TV show when he takes over the new version of "Oshare Kankei." The long-running talk show, which has been on Nippon TV since 1974, will be renamed "Oshare-ism" and will air on Sunday nights from April 10. The show has been hosted since 1994 by Furutachi Ichiro (50), who recently took over as anchor on Houdou Station news show on TV Asahi, and assisted by Watanabe Marina. Their roles will be taken over by Fujiki and Mori Izumi (22), model and grand-daughter of designer Mori Hanae, in her first regular TV spot. Ueda Shinya (34) of the comedy duo Cream Stew will also be a regular, his first solo gig. • A new anime version of "Hokuto no Kobushi" (Fist of the North Star) will feature Abe Hiroshi (40) narrating the role of Kenshiro. Popular actress and singer Shibasaki Kou (23) will make her "seiyuu" debut in the feature, scheduled for release in 2006. All five series of the popular manga will be made for film or video release by 2008.

One of the most visible faces in TV commercials these days, Yamada Yu (photo, 20) is in yet another new CM. The latest one for Kanebo cosmetics features the young actress-model at the ocean under a deep blue sky. Yamada's captivating smile is also working for Vodaphone, and she has been getting bigger parts in TV dramas. Like many top models, the Okinawa native got her start in the young women's magazine CanCam. • But the current CM Queen is actress Hasegawa Kyoko (26). Currently featuring in eight different commercials, including Canon's Pixus, NTT DoCoMo, and Nihon Seimei, she made the No.1 spot despite not even being in the Top 10 last year. The rankings are based on on-air time in the Kanto, Kansai and Nagoya regions. The celebrity with the most actual ad contracts is Ueto Aya (19) with 18.

Aya-chan seems to be a really hot property. Hopefully she won't get dumped by the public like other celebs.

::Does an image search::

Well, she's not that bad. Of course, I've found out through my years of college that I tend to be more open on what's attractive. My main criteria is: woman, not more than 10 years older, not overweight/obese, not a total toothpick. hehe

J, I think your filter needs a bit more refining... hehe

My thoughts are that if you're gonna fantasize, go for the cream of the crop. Beaten Bonk

Hmmm...I didn't read the guidelines truthfully...I just use common sense the the general rules of most message boards. From what I've seen the moderators aren't that fascist here. Puppy Dog Eyes Naughty
