I like Kankuro, although his shows do include JE actors/actress he balances them out with less good-looking but very talented actors/actresses unlike some other dramas that rely purely on good-looks. The only thing I dislike about IWGP is its violence. Violence & comedy don't mix well.

yes they do make strange bedfellows...but since the show dwells on the "seedier" elements of japanese society...i guess it's understandable.

so far done the first 4 subbed eps of IWGP - didn't think i'd get hooked to this one - now i await further subs

i think... Kenji Sakaguchi's character went inside his room and killed him. or maybe it was the gang but i forgot... but then he was put in the locker with black feathers

OH! I just finsihed it today. It was a bit dramatic near the end, but a really interesting drama nonetheless. It had so many big stars in the making eh.

SO GOOD. Kubozuka Yosuke and Nagase Tomoya were fantastic in this drama, and I loved the juxtaposition of the violence and the comedy. I had been getting so sick of romance/comedies, so IWGP was a really nice and refreshing surprise. I loved the edgy directing, and the opening was great. The only thing I really kind of hated was Hikaru. Every time she opened her mouth I winced in anticipation of the whine that was sure to come out. Towards the end of the series it got to the point where I was fervently wishing for her death just so I wouldn't have to hear her speak anymore. Other than that, though, this is easily one of the best dramas I've seen.

Loved the drama. While watching it, I kind of had flashbacks from Kisarazu cat's eye. Found out later that it was produced or created by the same guy.

I must admit I wished a few times that Kato Ai would've been the strangler's victim in the 1st episode. Her voice can be irritating at times.

i just saw this recently although i've had a copy of the unsubbed drama since last year but i never had the chance or the urge to watch it..well, the reason why i wanted to watch this initially was because of nagase and yousuke..but after watching yousuke's long love letter, i wanted to see igwp because of yousuke..hehe..only then did i realize that i haven't seen all of yousuke's other dramas and movies, that i miss watching this guy be the character that he needs to be onscreen..and yousuke again did not fail me, he is totally awesome!

i was sooo glad that i saw this edgy series, this is something new for me..seeing this side of tokyo made me wanna see the igwp..and the owl 'ikefukurou'
