Eh? What's wrong with a SMAP-fest (Although Akakage got the right idea! V6-fest is better!)? Mr Green

Indeed! Hmm..better make Seven Samurai's into taiga drama so we can get the whole V6 altogether plus one member from SMAP..make it Kimura Takuya, he can replace the Toshiro Mifune's role... hehe Beaten J/K

I bet NHK will get high ratings! Boy Power Taiga Drama..D'uh!

Oh, actually I don't think it's a good idea ... Shake Head Maybe in another role...
The ratings will be high for sure, every drama in witch Takuya acts has high ratings ...

Okay, maybe we gotta go outside Johnny's and use Odagiri Joe instead. How's that? Big Grin

It can be a good choice. Better than Takuya, at least.

Hehehehehe.. Beaten hehe I knew it you'd go against this...hehehehe..
Seriously it will be a disaster actually...Have you watched Misty (Kaneshiro Takeshi, Toyokawa Etsushi, Amami Yuki)..well it's sort of a remake of Rashomon..bloody disappointing.

But...still I'd love to see V6-fest in taiga drama hehehehehe..

Yep. There isn't any gal in Shinsengumi that is remotely worth looking at, so there you have it.

Ummm, there is one there that's worth looking at, can't come up with her name just now, is she the sister of one of the guys? Lovey Eyes Is it Tomoko Tabata?

BTW, am I the only one who sees the irony in the theme song: "la-la-la-la-la-la..." ? Rolling eyes

Eiji Yoshikawa..hmmm I wonder if "Taiko" will also be made into taiga dramas..

Haha....you really hate SMAP that much, dont you??^^ Not an exception for Kimura? Coz I've heard alot "I dont like SMAP, except Takuya Kimura"....=P

But anyway....Taikou?? Is this the story/history about that saru guy? Whats his name? Hideyoshi? Oda Nobunaga's subordinate, right? The character also appear in Toshiie to Matsu, right? His wife named One....(or Nene)?

If thats the correct TAIKOU....then zannen deshita, bmwracer!!^^*lol* Another SMAP member have snatch the role of Hideyoshi, in a FujiTV period drama special!! gomen ne...^_~

SMAP's Tsuyoshi Kusanagi acted as Hideyoshi in FujiTV period drama 1-epi special, TAIKOUKI ~Saru to Yobareta Otoko~. With Fujiki Naohito as Oda Nobunaga & also Rie Miyazawa stars in it. It should be interesting ^_^ It has broadcasted in Dec 27th, 2003 ago.

Not at all. I think they're a funny buncha guys, but to plop them into serious historical drama is a stretch, particularly in the lead... Smile

Mmmmm.... I guess I gotta kinda agree there. Shingo doesn't quite match in his role as Kondo Isami. Seems a litte stiff, but I'm sure he's trying hard. Wink

(Everybody else looks great though! Mr Green )

I just know the mean of the first and the last kanji of the name "Shinsengumi". "Shin" means "new", "Gumi" means "team".
I don't know what "Sen" means.

Yup! It should be "the new team"....

I've found the meaning of "Sen", it's "choice".
So I think "Shinsengumi" means something like "The new choice's team".
