On your salary, it shouldn't take that long to build up your vacation reserves. Big Grin

honestly that depends on how badly you wanna a pimp it...if you economize you could enjoy yourself within a reseaonable budget.

if you focused saving money on transportation and lodging (i.e. airfare, etc) you'd be better off than you might think..as expensive as it is there if you wanted to save bucks on food...you could do so easily...with 300,000 restaurants in tokyo alone there is a pelthora of eateries that are inexpensive and good.

perhaps more importantly if you went with a friend or two then you could really save money on lodging....and not have to go super ghetto style.

That would be a task unto itself. Sweat

Don't know if I can tour through Japan on the cheap: a trip like that makes you wanna splurge, unfortunately.

indeed...i did...but i chose to focus just on tokyo and hakone instead of trying to see too much all at once so to speak...in any event diligent planning would be your best bet at keepin' costs down, short of going with one or two heads....i mean if i had gone alone there is no way i could have stayed at the places i did....

Free time? Hmmm, if I had much or any, I'd probably have more time to move my things to my new place. Beaten
