oh my god, what is this mess we are in at the moment.
i am still having problem with my D-A. i mean, after they renewed the domain name, it came back but it went away again since this morning. can this happen at all?
i tried all the tricks in the book. flushed my dns, cleared browser's history, deleted all old d-a cookies and even re-installed my firefox browser. still, nothing.
now, do i need to call my ISP to find out if it has something to do with them or not?
as for waiting, how long should i exactly wait? does has anything to do with where you live?
one more thing, i even tried it with other laptop and still same result. and i also tried to go on d-a site from my iphone, same thing keep happening.
it started to get to me. that lady with laptop needs to watch out for herself.
i really appreciate any help i can get.
and sorry for not being here for looong time

edit: still not back. should i seriously panic now?
being panic while you are angry and frustrated is not so good for one's health. _________________

Wow, this seems longer than expected... Not sure if contacting your ISP would help: customer service is typically worthless.
tell me about them.
latest update, IS back for now. not sure for how long though. same thing happened last time too. just keeping my fingers crossed. _________________

Ehhh???
Too weird.
i know. well, atleast is down for me. i can't access at all. I don't even think is that has to do with my laptop DA cookies or flushing dns. i tried it from my iphone with both wifi and 3G and still i get the same page.
anyone else in UK having the same problem? does it have to do anything with country you live? _________________

FIX - but no guarantees -
Good Morning Everyone!
I posted this before, but I guess nobody really tried what I posted, but flushing the DNS like everyone is talking about is not going to work utill your ISP does so.
You're going to have to use another DNS like Google Public DNS to get to the d-addicts site for the time being.
Every OS is different, but generally for Windows...
1. get into properties for your Local Area Connection
2. Select Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) and click Properties
3. select the 'Use the following DNS server addresses:' radio button.
4. fill in [8.8.8.8] for the 'Preferred DNS server:' and
5. fill in [8.8.4.4] for the 'Alternate DNS server:' then press OK.
6. Then OK one more time. it should work after that.
Thanks alot. before i see your post, DA was back for me again. and still working for now.
not sure for how long again but if it happened again will sure use the infos.
i also did something but not sure if it was the reason for my DA to be back or not. will keep an eye on it and see. but i did change my anti-virus on my laptop and used a different one. maybe it has something to do with fire wall from old or new DA? as i hardly any sort of knowledge in this area, i really can't tell. all i am doing is just following everyone's advice. _________________
