I use Ulead Gif maker.. However getting the screen caps from Video files is what causes it to be so jumpy, what do most here use?
the best one I did was my JAL one.
talking about how to get your yu yamada one smoother? i thought she was already smooth,
don't know how to work the gif's much, bmwracer helped me with my nana one's.

I agree, All 3 of them look really nice.
Which one was it that you think looked a bit unsatisfying to you Suburu??
The Yamada one.. see how it jumps back to the first frame?
I really need my new sigs to work right..
If they turn out like I hope they will they will be nice.
It was a huge pain! most Japanese CM sites stream the CM's which means I had to hook my computer's out montor to my camera and tape the CM, them bring it back to the Computer, thats the hard part, now I just need to get the part I need.
When you do your sigs do you take it frame by frame? or skip a few frames?

My JAL sig is the best i've done so far.
I had to take out some frames to make it look a bit better and to make the file a bit smaller too.
Your JAL sig is really nice
@BMW: I never new what the tweening did, but if you say it'll smooth out things out, I think i'll try it later to see how it works and understand it _________________

Don't sweat it... Everybody else seems to have giganto gifs as well...
When it hiccups my broadband connection, I know there's some sigs up ahead. Thank goodness for caches, so people, please don't change the images often.

speaking of sig sizes, this site is actually pretty tame; only a handful uses 500kb+ sigs...
On d-addicts, there are lots of ppl with multi-mb sigs
filesize shouldn't be too big an issue since browsers usually store gifs in cache. its the frames per second that slows down the pc so i usually try to set fps to a small number, 6-7fps, so it doesnt slow down other folks....
you can check if your sigs eat too much resources by looking at task manager... if cpu goes up to 100% when your looking at your sigs and nothing else, then you miht want to slow down ur fps... ^_^ _________________
