Since i really luv to watch those ninja anime such as Naruto & Ninja Boy....and i already watched the 'Shinobi' movie....i really wanted to know that...is ninja/shinobi was really existed?...........im sorry for that question though... but im confused about the existence of ninjas........was they are legendary history just like samurai that was once existed when the Tokugawa's governance.....

Ninja just like have the spiritual technique such as ninjutsu, genjutsu....it's similar to the witch/wizard to me........

So....i need some answers........could somebody here at jdorama.com tell me the truly existence of ninja/shinobi......? ...coz if those ninja's technique was existed, i would like to learn some......coz i think being a ninja is...cool! .........

I think the conception we have today as portrayed in movies/anime/manga is largely legendary. Of course, spies existed, but the reality was probably mundane. The Wikipedia page on Ninjas talks about this a little bit. As that page says:

Yeah, they existed, although they didn't fly through the air, shoot fireballs, or dissapear instantly. They were mainly spies.
