Well, you have to factor in the reality that the available funding in Japanese dramas is much smaller than an average American drama. So the special effects you see is the result of that. My personal opinion about the tennis ball effect is that, when factoring in the $$$$$ amount spent on this drama, the effects I see are what I'd expect.

but curiously... if todo was about to lose the match because of the double fault (as maki says) that would assume yuu is 40, but when todo got the ace... he won the game? wouldn't he have to go through a deuce first?
maybe i have too much time on my hands ;P |
thats exactly what I thought too! The math didn't add up...but oh well who cares really
Now I'm debating whether to download ep2 chinese subbed to watch ahead because those guys are damn fast with their release...
Btw anybody here watch Prince of Tennis as well? I sure hope they don't do any cheese super special moves like in PoT

I know they just looked funny at first. It didn't really make a difference what they looked like and wasn't enough to effect the drama anyway. I also can't really compare it to american dramas because I havent watched any in the past 5 or so years so I'm a little behind.

but you can't have a animated show without it.
They should turn PoT into a dorama ^^ Even cooler.
Too bad the series is coming to an end (from what I heard).
Well one-hundred-and-something eps ain't bad of a run for series. |
i love PoT - especially Ryoma Echizen
sigh, i hate it when good anime comes to an end

Yeah Ryoma and Fuji are my favorites ; ) Though pretty much everyone on SeiGaku is cool.

no wait, the guy who lost to Yuu cause of the double faults.
is that guy chinese or japanese? cause theres these chinese dramas (ie AQUA HEROES, TRIUMPH IN THE SKIES, and this newer one about soy sauce) where one of the dudes looks JUST LIKE YUU! im not kidding, either its the same person or...damn...Asians do look alike if not identical |
He got the ace and won O.o
I haven't seen those dramas... but he probably just looks alike.
