This is an inspiring story! With a happy ending and good cast, this drama is one of my favorites. This is a story of an inspiring sushi chef becoming one of the best after many struggles.

After you watched this show, you'll never taste Sushi the same way.

This drama is a comic-based comedy about the young and talented Shota (Kashiwabara) who set a goal of becoming the number 1 sushi chef in Japan to save his father's sushi shop. To learn the art of making sushi, he became an apprentice at the famous Otori Sushi. Each episode shows him picking up a new skill, and moving forward towards his goal. However, many obstacles stood in his way, including a harsh and cold senior apprentice who was jealous of his Sushi making talent....

Go get it!

Oh yea! Sushi will defintely never taste the same again...=) Alot of effort goes into making sushi... juz cooking the rice alone is a form of art & skill...

I drool with every episode... heeee...

And Kassy's fighting spirit is commendable...=)

9 episodes?

Shota No Sushi is one of the longest dorama. It has 17 episodes.
While most Dorma has 11-12 episodes.
But its a very childish dorma, since it was based on comic books,
there is alot of over-acting,
It may not be suitable for people with a mature sense of humor.
I find a few episodes kind of boring,
but overall, its a feel good dorama

I like this dorama! Watching Shota No sushi is like reading a comic book! Instead of typical love story, this is a good alternative. There are many show out there that are like comic books. Also, there are many good shows are in this format/style i.e Itazura Na Kiss (Teasing kiss), ShoMuni Series,Visual Battle Series, Muko-Dono and even GTO etc.

It really depends on what you like!

I LOVED the story, it is definitely a healthy alternative to those lovey dovey sappy dramas that are out there. Its really interesting because it takes you through Japan's art of sushi making and combines it with a good storyline between the characters. Takashi kashiwabara was REALLY cute in it....the drama is pretty old and that was when kassy had a really cute/good boy image, really cute! =)

not anyway close to the story as in the comic but definitely worth watching. The show is very inspirating and u gotta to see lots of delicious sushi made. The main actor was very young when he filmed in this show, so a little green but he is quite cute whenever he accepted a challenge and he turned seriou and said "nippon ichi"!
