Indeed, I was suckered into watching "The Apprentice" yesterday. Everything seemed so staged, but the people seemed to be really caught up in these apprentices' lives. It was somewhat scary. As I always say, "The less time I waste watching TV, the more time I have for procrastination."

Oh please, does any self-respecting Asian male want to be represented by William Hung?! He is the epitome of American stereotype of Asian man. As if it is not hard enough for Asian male in the U.S. to breakthrough the "dorky, short, slit eye, boring and owns a takeout restaurant" image Americans have about Asians. It is guys like him that make it difficult for the image of Asian male in the U.S. to become anything but serious or respectable. And all that crap about how he got to his fame: sympathy...give me a freaking break.

Right on. That freak probably has set back Asians a couple of decades, if not more.

Laughing to the bank? BFD... Money doesn't buy self-respect or the respect of others.

Next stop for William Hung? The circus.

Hahaha. Man, it is JUST funny to see this ONE guy get a lot of you SO riled up.

Eltinator . . . you supposed to be smart, bruddah. C'mon, now, at least be open-minded about the whole Hung situation. Even The Man has stated "we shall see" what happens with this; we might all be getting put on. Still, I think a release of this kind of album, even though the label's one I hadn't heard of before (Koch) is a significant one (along with MANY of us actually buying the album). Maybe Hung's album's part of the music industry's litmus test to see if, in fact, the $10 CD can sell (another overnight success, The Darkness's EP sold at just as much if I'm not mistaken).

HAHAHAH, PSSSSYYYYYYCHHHHHHHHHHH, YA'LL, HAHAHAHA. Just had to say that. I kinda' stand by this post (as I do for my others).

Well I always agreed that it doesn't take talent to sell in the music industry. Some really good marketting and style will do it as is the case in Japan. I'm not too familar with the American music industry as I only run a J-Pop chart so I know how things work there more. I do feel that $10 CDs are good for the business though Applaud Especilally if corporate america really wants to stop mp3s hehe hehe

However, when I say style and marketting, I don't mean William Hung. Sorry, just my outlook on the matter. It just sort of shows that any fool can get on TV and get a record deal. I prefer the more conventional ways with artist that work hard and actually get results. People like Ayu, who is not the most talented singer but I know she works day and night to be the best and she is in Japan. People like William Hung, who is just a fade, uhhh can't stand them Shake Head

him being a dork is not the asian man curse in itself
it's the excessive glorification of his dorkiness that is...
