i'm learning to speak japanese and i've started to learn to read japanese for a number of months now. i have the kana's pretty sorted and am starting on the kanji.
anyway what i wanted to know is does anyone know any good books/series for kids.
very very basic books. like picture book style (think mr.men japanese style and you will know what i mean haha) and any good sites to buy them?
i think the best way to learn to read japanee script is by reading over and over again and i need something very basic to help me during these early days.

I know jlist.com had kids books once, but I don't know if they still have some.

Never heard of it, but it's pretty cheap. They look ok and well structured (homestay, visa...), but for some reason, they are located in Canada.

It 's just I found it's kind of strange they have courses in Japan, Korea and China, but they are based in another country. Unless they have English courses over here, it looks fishy.

Yeap agreed - looks cheap and great but the thing that bothers me is that I cannot find any reviews from previous/current students enrolled with this co.

That is a problem. Usually they try to have at least a dozen, even if they sound fake.
