That's the thing . . . probably no subtitles on those tapes.

Hey, guys, I forgot about that sorta' used book/CD/DVD/VHS store ("sorta'" because some stuff are new, I think) on Kaheka St. . . . we can take you there, too, elt. Three of us (maybe one more, two'd be stretching it) rollin' in The Man's kuruma, kickin' it, like Reservoir Dogs or something! WE GOIN' EAT, FELLAS!

Sorry, I try not to patronize that store 'cause I hate the owner. Sweat

Come to Malaysia and you can get the whole vcd boxset for $6. Mhuahahahahaha Twisted

Orange days really disappointed me at first. The first 2 eps were so good. After that, it began to go downhill. I was so disappointed. Maybe cause I was expecting it to be really dramatic and not a teenage kind of show. Strangely though, I became attached to the characters and the show after finishing it. I feel like watching it again... Big Grin

Satoshi is perfect for the role cause he's attractive not in the hot kinda way. Kou is as always an amazing actress. I'm a big fan of her except for her bangs and long hair. Felt like chopping it all off while watching the drama. Nut Kashy was evil...I didn't like his character...it felt like a publicity kinda thing sticking him in there. Shake Head

All in all, at the end od the day....Kou Shibasaki rox... Naughty

Actually I'm not too sure... but I don't think that track's on the OST ^_^0

I hate when they miss tracks from shows, and it happens with nearly
every drama soundtrack >_<

Finished it in ONE day!!!^o^
I looove Orange Days! The script is excellent! The themesong, SIGN by Mr. Children fits the drama SO SO much! And kinda reminds me of Wakamono no Subete's themesong too...hee, same singer, and same friendship theme story!^_^

For me, Kou Shibasaki stands out the most...im not sure is it only bcoz of Sae's character...or is it really bcoz of her acting^^
haha....i hated her too, when i first saw her in Sorakara....then I watched GoodLuck, i dont hate her anymore...but futsu. I started to like her and and thinks she's a good actress when I watched Love Quotient!!^^
I dont like her bangs, either, in this dorama....but i think they give her that hairstyle, to make her look cuter and looks younger than Satoshi x)

I dont know why...but i have a thinking that Takuya Kimura would be perfect as Kai, rather than Satoshi...haha, Satoshi is TOO kawaii! That baby-face of his....Kou looked older than him!! xD however, Satoshi indeed did a good job! and have a great chemistry with Kou, despite Kou's mature and Satoshi's kawaii looks!!^^

I loooove Hiroki Narimiya....hehee...he's sooo kakkoi!!!^o^ I love him ever since StandUp(he's my favorite Doutei Boy...haha!) and Gokusen!^.^ So glad, he finally act in a quality drama, and have pretty big role in Orange Days!! However...I think his acting is chotto ne...this is the first time, I see him in a role that demands alot of emotion(sad, upset and angry) expressions...and I have to say he didnt really pull out that well x) Coz, in StandUp and Gokusen, he's all happy-go-lucky and fun-loving guy ne...^^
But, wouldn't mind to see him in a leading role someday!! Would really loooooove for that to happen!^v^ and i just hope his acting skill can get better....i agree with someone who has said this before.....he has the potential to become a big actor! just still needs some polishing^^

I like how they give subtitles whenever they use the sign language without speaking. In Heaven's Coins, its annoying...when the other person repeat and speak what the deaf person says, so unreal x)

The way I see it, Eriko Kitagawa tries to blends and mix several of her previous works, rather than only repeating "Say You Love Me".

ORANGE DAYS is a mix of:

1. ASUNARO HAKUSHO (5 college bestfriends: 3 guys, 2 girls -> named themselves "Orange no Kai"/the orange club)

2. SAY YOU LOVE ME (the hearing-impaired character)

3. LONG VACATION (Sae's dedication to music, and eventually plays the piano again)

4. BEAUTIFUL LIFE (the love story, between a normal guy and a handicapped girl...the way Kai treats Sae reminds me of the way Shuji treats Kyoko ^_^ and also the monologues!!^^)

My favorite scenes and lines:

1. When Kai waited for Sae in the rain in front of the theme park...it is just sooo touching, what Kai did. If i were Sae, I would want to hug him tightly!! Knowing he is waiting for me there, till he is asleep!^.^ haha...but Sae did a step forward ne....she kissed him!! xD

2. Kai: (in sign language and speaking) "You want to know what my voice like? I'll tell you! It is definitely better than a frog's voice...but its not any good compared to CHEMISTRY!"

3. Sae: (crying;in sign language) "Is my crying voice weird? ah..I know, its definitely better than a frog's voice...but its not any good compared to Ayumi Hamasaki, ne?"

4. The scene where "orange no kai" went on a vacation together. At night, Kai and Sae are going to the nearest shop...when Kai about to open the lock of Sae's bicycle...Sae tell him to guess the last number. If his guess is right, she bet they should get "together", Kai altho hesitant, but then agrees. However, he missed....
Later, while riding the bike together, Sae's heart voice saying, "I regret, I regret giving him 4 numbers clue, that means only 1/5 of chances, we can be together. If i tell him its a number after 7, we're already together by now...i regret...."

*HEAVY SPOILER* (I recommend DO NOT read, if you haven't watch the drama!!^^)

5. After Sae got clobbered by her music-school senpai, she meets Kai at night.

Sae: (sign language) "All these time, he is the most important person to me, I really adore him. Its like, I always hold him in my right hand tightly, like the most important thing to me. But now I open it...its gone, nothing on my right hand..."

Kai: (sign language without speaking at all) "Ne...your left hand, if you open it....do you see me there...?"

Sae: (smiling;sign language) "Ne...saying stuff like that...aren't you embarrased?"

Kai: (smile widely;speaking) "Suge hazukashii!!!"

Then Sae embrace him.....the next morning, when Kai thought their relationship is making a progress, coz he thought he has said a love confession. But, turns out, Sae still think of him as a bestfriend! So cute!^.^

6. This scene is a cheap shot, and really common we see in dramas and movies...but oh heck!! Its the scene which marks Kai and Sae officially together!! So I LOVE IT!^.^
Kai yelled out at the beach, "Hagio Sae!!! Even though you have bad attitudes...I love you!! OMAE NO KOTO SUKI DAAA!".
Sae who dont see and cannot hear, coz Kai is standing far behind him, feels something's not right when she see people surrounds her are laughing at something behind her...so she turns around, and see Kai is yelling at her...she is shocked when she reads his lips...run towards him and push him down ^_^

*END OF SPOILER*

Anybody knows who sings "Shanghai Baby"? The song which "Orange no Kai" sings on the car??^^
