I think if they alloweed zchendevlemh and his big ol' sig (it may or may not still be there), i guess your's would be fine. but then again, for those who have dial up, if it takes forever to load up on their screen, it may dissuade them to go to a particular thread.

its a .gif file u can make 1 aswell.. just use a program that creates .gif files.. like ADOBE IMAGEREADY or GIFANIMATOR....

Hi all, I'm a noob. In reading a number of threads, I noticed most people have what I think is called an avatar - those pictures of their favorite stars or some other form of picto-animation. Tried doing a search here but couldn't find an answer to my question, so here goes ... I hope someone can help me out. How can I EASILY create an avatar? I say easily b/c I'm not that computer literate. Is there some program out there that will enable me to easily make an avatar - without having to learn 500 steps or some computer language? I'd really like to have one but all the web pages I've read about avatars are so !#$% complicated I don't have the slightest clue what they're talking about, let alone what I'm suppose to do. So, any and all help would be appreciated. O ne gai shimasu! Oh, and btw, great forum!

you don't really have to create one. just grab a pic from the web. well, you can...create one. i guess just use Paint. or photoshop or whatever there is. welcome, fellow jdorama member! you will no longer be a noob in a week. _________________ <kizuna>

There's another thread on this same subject somewhere... It's just a matter of resizing the image so that the width is no more than 150 pixels, which is the limitation here...
