Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel was untouchable around Singapore's Marina Bay Street Circuit on Sunday evening, as he cruised to his ninth win of the year. But his title rivals did enough to keep the championship alive.
Jenson Button took second for McLaren, from Mark Webber in the second Red Bull, with Fernando Alonso fourth for Ferrari. Lewis Hamilton was fifth despite a drive-through penalty.
From formula1.com:
McLarenfs Jenson Button always wanted to win the Japanese race at Suzuka, and on Sunday afternoon he finally did so in dominant style after early leader Sebastian Vettel ran into tyre wear. But third place for the 24 year-old German, separated from Button by Ferrarifs Fernando Alonso, was sufficient to clinch him a second consecutive world championship.
So Sebastian Vettel is world champion again, and the youngest-ever back-to-back winner. gTo win the world championship here is fantastic, and there are so many things I want to say in this moment but itfs hard to remember all of them,h he said.
He has 324 points to Buttonfs 210, with Alonso on 202 from Webber on 194 and Hamilton on 178. Red Bull Racing have 518 to McLarenfs 388 in the constructorsf standings, with both teams still in the running for that title.

I wonder if Schumi will retire for good at the end of this season. He's been back two years and has yet to even get a podium finish. His best so far this year is a 4th in Canada and he ain't getting any younger.
