Yeah, it doesn't seem to be that common to me. So I just see it as a characteristic. No biggie, but it's a nice extra if it doesn't Mr Green It's doable, as long as I wouldn't have to drive with 2 feet, LOL. I know someone who drives with 2 feet....it's weird to me. Crazy

Oh man, that's bad. Riding the brake overheats 'em and makes braking worse....

DIDN'T YOU KNOW THAT SHINGO USED THAT TECHNIQUE WITH HIS EG6 CIVIC TO "DRIFT" IN INITIAL D!!!1one hehe hehe hehe

But yeah, I wouldn't drive like that only for the fact that I might totally spaz out in a dangerous situation and press gas instead of brake. Yup, that wouldn't be good.

My left foot is retarded...ive tried driving with 2 feet before but i always come to a sudden stop cause my left foot isnt use to it...

And the real drifters dont drive with 2 feet...heel 2 toe my friend... hehe or reversed if your brake pedal is higher than your gas....

Well, he doesn't ride the brake while hitting the gas, lol. He has his foot there, but not pressing. He had an accident that was not his fault in my opinion, but it was bad. Someone darted into his lane, a really late cut off, on the Expressway. Of course he couldn't stop in time to prevent the accident. He didn't even exactly rearend the other car that cut him off, sorta crunched the rear right quarter, the car cutting him off was still slightly diagonal at impact.

It was a stupid move. It wasn't even squeezing into a small space between cars because nobody was even near....it was almost a sideswipe but my friend crunched him. Now with that, he has paranoia that he won't be able to switch his right foot from gas to brake to prevent other accidents. It's in his head. He didn't drive again for months, when he finally did, he drove w/ 2 feet and still does. It's pretty strange to me, but I kinda understand....damn my being a psych major!! Sweat

Oh, I can relate. After each of my four accidents (all totals, BTW), I was really wary of the cars around me, but you get over it. You have to or you become dangerous by being overly-cautious...

But the way I do "heel and toe" is kinda funny. Instead of having the heel on the gas and the toe on brake it's the other way around. I dunno, doing it the other way feels funky to me since my foot goes outward naturally. hehe

yea you can do it that way if your gas pedal is lower than your brake pedal its easier to reach the gas pedal with your toes and control the throttle...

Knock on wood, I haven't had any accidents yet (if I end up having one after this I'll be PI$$ED!!!!). I've only been driving for 5 years though Sweat I've had a LOT of close calls though......I have run into a lot of idiots. I think my car has stupid magnets installed. My pet peeve lately, on a 4 lane road (2 south, 2 north), I'll be in one, and everyone drifts over to my side from not paying attention and almost gets me (usually they are on the phone...), I beep, they give me the finger when I'm just beeping to get their attention to get out of my damn way because they are about to scrape me. Mad

ACura for me! Mr Green
i've totaled 2 acura legends (2nd generation). Same year, same model, 2 door coupe.. Sad
first wasn't my fault, second was my fault, driving too fast in the rain in SF highway, and i lost control, and spun across 3 lanes and the backend smashed into the concrete center divider (the car ended up facing against traffic). it was REALLY scary! i had no control of the steering wheel, so i was holding on til i hit something so it would stop. Rolling eyes
im now driving an integra. (i blew a rod in the old engine.. Nut ). but its running now (with the help of a new engine.. hahahaha.. hehe )

i wouldn't mind getting the old BMW M3 (i think its 89 or something). my ex bf was a bimmer fanatic..it kinda rubbed off on me.

There's more than our fair share here in SoCal... Sad

Ooh, those two-way highways are scary: you always hear stories about people falling asleep, drunk, etc. drifting into oncoming traffic, then killing some innocent driver who just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time... Awful. Sad

Oh man. that's scary. You're lucky to walk away from that one...

For me: Sad

BMW#1: broadsided by a UPS truck that ran a red light.
BMW#2: broadsided by a Dodge Colt that ran a red light
BMW#3: Rear-ended at a stop light by a Oldsmobile
BMW#4: Broadsided by a drunk in a Ford Tempo

But a I walked away from all of 'em without a scratch... Sweat Smile

Yow. Major failure somewhere for you to throw a rod....

Same here! The first generation M3 (code E30) is awesome... They're pretty hard to come by, since they're essentially collector's items now... I considered one after BMW#3, but it was expensive at the time ($35K+) as was the insurance (>$3K/yr)... But it's a tight handling car, the tighest I've ever driven... Whew. *big smile*
