There's a store on 2nd St. (across from Rafu Bussan) that sells used manga, videos, game software, CDs etc. I've bought used Golgo_13 there as well. They actually sell used Japanese girls' school uniforms, i.e., sailor suits! For Japanophile crossdressers!
But the brand new Golgo 13 books I bought at half price at Asahi ended up being cheaper than the ones at the used shop.
The only thing I wanted was the Golgo 13 mangas. I cleaned out their shelf. I've bought nearly 30 volumes in the past week at Asahi.
Golgo mangas were written/drawn in the 1960s through 1990s. It ran in the weekly mangas for 34 years. Individual Golgo 13 mangas run from volume 1 through 130! I have about 80 to 90 of them so far, all of them bought used or at a deep discount. I wasn't allowed to read it as a kid because my parents thought it was too violent--they were right.
Marecore,
Where are you on the East coast? There are Japanese book stores in NYC (Kinokuniya and Asahi Book Store) and D.C.

Dude, I tried checking every radio station on both the AM and FM frequencies once. So I'm pretty sure there isn't on around the SF area. I'd be cool niche if they did have one though.
Otherwise, the only way to get JPop in the car is through a CD player. Too bad mine's broken.
