hehehe so close is like charlies angels' i di not realize that BUT a new HK drama thats been out i think is the nameless 3d angels or ANGels of MIssion i think thats the more likely version of charlies angels....hehehe with charmaine sheh shirley yeung and sonja kwok....hehehe OO and idols look at my avatar! hehehe buts small hehe but is okie edison is in it! hehe
I'm probably going to get flamed for this... but I don't care really.
I think it's funny, many of the reasons many of the give for not believing so.
I hear everything from "her eyes are TOO chinky for my tastes" (wtf is THAT?)...
to "Kelly Hu should have her workload because she's MUCH prettier." (a girl who is mixed.)
Now... a lot of the examples of the beautiful women THAT do come from the people who've ragged on her in my presence... generally look like Asian/Caucasian mixes.
It's sort of like saying "of all the women for America to push representing MY homeland... why pick the one that looks the least Caucasian?"
I'm not saying EVERYONE that dislikes her look feels that way... but I know a whole hell of a lot of people that do.
You have a point. It is because Western(mostly American and British) media has pretty much conquered the world with Western TV programs, so our eyes are accustomed to Caucasian looks. Since all/most western actors on TV are pretty much good-looking we've developed the mentality that beauty can be enhanced with Caucasian blood. I think Blacks have the same conscious mentality and they do realize it. It's nothing bad although there are disadvantages to non-Caucasians. We're humans, the majority of us are easily influenced by our surroundings/societies. It's nothing racial really, it's all about power and money. Japan is gaining momentum in exporting it's media programs/culture to the rest of the world, so other non-western countries has same potential too. I have a feeling that the situation may be different in North Korea where the citizens are shut off from the world and bombarded with anti-western propaganda.
BTW Lucy Liu is marrying a Caucasian, so maybe the people who don't think she's pretty may think otherwse about her daughter in the future.

Hm I can't imagine the actresses in 3D Angels kicking butt. They're portrayed as the cute types right?
Michelle Yeoh would fit the role. But her last two movies Silver Hawk and The Touch was a joke.

agreed with these points... except much of it IS racial, otherwise the words "blacks" and "caucasian" wouldn'tve been mentioned. Thank God there are people that don't think this way though... or I may never find a woman to procreate with.

er..litterally she did kick some enemies' butt in that movie since she played as a killer.
Anyhow..the movie is suck! The reason I watched it..oh well, just to see Daniel Wu..he's gorgeous!
