Triky, others, and I have discussed this in the past: it's ridiculous.
So many other deserving dramas NEVER get subbed, while others get subbed multiple times... A waste of valuable resources.
Yeah....we must all be thankful for the Herculean efforts of those who give of their time and skill freely for the enjoyment of others but it does seem a bit wasteful when the few "heroic" individuals involved in the art of fansubbing duplicate one another's efforts when, as you said, there are other shows that would clearly have an audience but get pasted over due to practical constraints and duplicative efforts.

Just please, for all that is holy, do NOT use Hot Pink text if you do Hard Subs.
But anyways, back slightly on-topic...compared to the Winter season, this season is going to be a juggling trick if I should say so myself. Nothing really peaked my interest in Winter, whereas now I've got easily 5-6 I WANT to watch (oh, and just want to see what they do with the inevitable car wreck that is Gokusen 3 )

I used to like hardsubs but now I find that a lot of them use weird fonts and colors. Also I like to easily be able to correct grammar mistakes and such in softsubs. Maybe by this time next year I will be good enough to translate shows? Better keep studying.

Yonekura returns to "wicked woman" image in "Koori no Hana"
Thu, March 27, 2008 (10:06am EDT)
This year, TV Asahi will broadcast a drama special titled "Koori no Hana." The story is based on a mystery novel of the same name that was self-published last year as the debut of 62-year-old author Setsuko Amano.
Actress Ryoko Yonekura will star, returning to the "wicked woman" image she acquired through her roles in dramas such as "Kurokawa no Techo" and "Warui Yatsura." In "Koori no Hana," she plays a pianist who receives an inheritance from her uncle, and she begins living happily with her husband, a surgeon (Masato Sakai). But one day, she receives a phone call from a woman claiming to be her husband's pregnant mistress, and she is soon driven to murder.
No specific broadcast date has been announced yet.

Gotta build up my threshold for pain somehow. It was either this or a Yukan Club marathon! (That is, if I could stay awake more than 5 minutes of it. )

Since you're starting to do some of the work yourself, you can correct the subs and hardsub the shows and make the discs yourself... I've been doing that for the past 3-4 years now.

In other words, "the actors are going to be doing something else big soon, so we had to cut the number of episodes down from what we have" or "our Summer drama is super short". Take your pick.

I burn them on discs but my program automatically adds the softsubs.
WTF is up with Change starting in May? Is it gonna be like 6 episodes??? For higher ratings?? What a load of crap!
