it's no wonder some of you are excited over "zettai kareshi". It's one of the two (the other being "Around Forty") which weren't as predictable as the rest; I got hooked to the show. The cakes were delicious.

Gokusen 3 : is funny but the plot is so predictable.....same storyline, change of characters that's all......yawn.

My Sassy Girl : ditto ditto..... i think the Korean one is more dramatic.......well, i might be wrong.

Hokaben: ditto ditto.....not Ueto Aya's best role.....

.........will look out for other dramas this season.

Satoshi Ohno's first starring drama role
Fri, May 9, 2008 (12:00am EDT)

Arashi leader Satoshi Ohno has finally been given a regular role in a drama series. He will co-star with rising actor Toma Ikuta in the TBS series "Maou," premiering this July.

"Maou" is a remake of the 2007 Korean suspense drama "The Devil" ("Mawang"). In this version, Ohno plays a lawyer seeking revenge against the killer of his relatives. For the role, he has cut his hair and dyed it black. Meanwhile, Ikuta has been cast as a detective investigating a mysterious series of murders.

Filming is scheduled to start at the end of this month. The show will air on Fridays at 10:00pm.

~~~ i don't get why they are highlighting the fact that the guy had to dye his hair to black and cut it short. What's the big deal anyways. Tokyograph took out the most trivial things to highlight *eyerolls*
here's the translation from the original news articles that excerpt was taken from : http://aatash.livejournal.com/284648.html
"Code Blue" confirmed: Yamapi, Gakky, Toda
Fri, May 23, 2008 (12:00am EDT)
Rumors of a Fuji TV drama series titled "Code Blue" were confirmed on Thursday. The show has assembled a cast packed with young stars and established veterans, led by NEWS member Tomohisa Yamashita.
The drama's full title is "Code Blue: Doctor Heli Kinkyu Kyumei." The concept is based on Japan's proposal for an emergency medical service using helicopters to quickly reach those in need. A special bill was passed in June 2007 that should foster widespread adoption of the system.
Yamashita stars as a young doctor-in-training, working under the guidance of an experienced "flight doctor" (Toshiro Yanagiba). Some scenes will be filmed with a real helicopter, adding to the show's tension.
The supporting cast includes Yui Aragaki, Erika Toda, Manami Higa, Yosuke Asari, Kiyoshi Kodama, Ryo, Tetta Sugimoto, Susumu Terajima, and Masanobu Katsumura.
Fuji TV will broadcast "Code Blue" on Thursday nights at 10:00pm, starting sometime in July.
Yamapi hate. xDD
One of my favorite characters ever was Akira from Nobuta wo Produce. But every other show I've seen Yamapi in, he is always super serious and doesn't have many expressions. o.o
Koizora
Was watching TBS news and caught a glimpse of the actors in the upcoming Koizora summer dorama.
Cast: Mizusawa Erena as Mika, Seto Koji as Hiro
More info:
"Koizora" moves to the small screen
Wed, May 21, 2008 (12:24am EDT)
TBS has announced that it is producing a television drama based on "Koizora," the mobile phone novel that became a hit movie last year. The film starred Yui Aragaki and Haruma Miura and both saw their popularity rise after the movie took in 3.9 billion yen from more than 3.1 million admissions.
The drama will feature an entirely new cast, with auditions being held for both Aragaki's and Miura's roles. Producers are said to be seeking unknown actors, particularly a girl who can be cultivated into becoming "the next Gakky (a nickname for Aragaki)." The cast is expected to be finalized by mid-June so that filming can begin for a summer broadcast. TBS will be airing the drama in its recently revamped Saturday 8:00pm time slot, which currently is the home of the baseball drama "ROOKIES."
Although the cast will be new, the production team is being carried over from the film, giving them another shot at the story. The team includes Natsuki Imai as director, Mutsuki Watanabe as screenwriter, and Shin Kono doing music.
