Sorimachi Takashi is so lucky to be married to the sexy Nanako. Even though shes old, she's HOT. She's my favorite. Since she's pregnant that means it'll be at least a year or so til she works again..thats a bummer.

Yup agreed! She's still somewhat young though, 29 right? Oh well, she is doing ads for this one company. I forget. It's supposed to be about pregnancy
come on, he juz won the an-an poll for the consecutive 11 years, and datz the end of the road for him?
Sure. But that really doesn't have anything to do with whether a certain drama he is in is good.

as for pride, it has the highest average rating for the jan-mar dramas, and now everybody say the drama is lousy? wad is so lousy about it?
Highest ratings don't necessarily mean a drama is good, just like high sales don't necessarily mean a CD is good. It just means that Kimura Takuya has a lot of fans.

they expect kimura to act similar characters? and if he does that, they'll probably say he is boring again, really what exactly do they want?
I don't think they have anything against him. More that they expect amazing things of him. A lot of his dramas in the past have been classics. This one wasn't. It was standard at best - and that's not good enough for Kimura Takuya. I'd take it as a complement more than an insult that they're judging him so harshly.
Anyway, to each their own opinion. But if you really watched pride the whole way through and thought it was one of his better dramas, you're in the minority.
Now that all the dramas are over I thought I'd give my top 3.
1) Boku to kanojo to kanojo no ikiru michi
2) Suna no utsuwa
3) Ace wo nerae
Most critics have released their list. The general consensus seems to be the top and the bottom. The top being "shiroi kyotou" and the bottom being "Pride".
But for those looking for good dramas to watch I'd definitely recommend those 3 I mentioned above.
I Liked your recommendations: Boku to kanojo to kanojo no ikiru michi it's a really great dorama, it's very emotional without being too corny, great acting by Tsuyoshi and the little girl who plays Rin; as for Suna no utsuwa haven't seen the whole 1st chapter yet, but I'm willing to give it another try; and Ace wo Nerae my father is taping for me in Japan, so I hope to watch it soon, I know I'm gonna like cause it has 2 things that I like a lot: Ueto Aya and tennis, besides it seems to be a very funny dorama.
As for Pride, I enjoyed it very much, naturally it doesn't possess any depht at all regarding the story, but as a light entertainment it's really good, the queen songs are the best! And for Kimura I say: "It's the price you pay for being so famous, I guess"
Orange Day's was the first drama of the season to start.
General impressions:
Tsumabuki Satoshi and Shibasaki Kou have amazing chemistry. Despite the fact that Shibasaki Kou can't talk in the show, the scenes between the two come off as very deep.
Narimiya Hiroki (koukou kyoushi, stand up!!) is great for comic relief and he again shows his status as a big up and coming actor.
The story shows Tsumabuki as a 4th year university student looking for a job for after he graduates. He seems to be out of luck. Nonetheless he has a beautiful girlfriend in graduate school and seems to have a nice life. All of a sudden this mysterious music student comes into the picture, Shibasaki. Turns out she's been deaf for 4 years. While one of Tsumabuki's character's friends asked her out on a date, he ends up not being able to go. Tsumabuki has to go in his place just to tell her that his friend can't go. They turn out to have a good time together and thus the story starts...
This is one to watch for everyone who has access to new dramas. Because the episode dragged off the bat but picked up steam after the first half, i give the first episode an 8/10 but I think future potential for this show is huge.

Guys, what the HECK is up with the characters with debilitating diseases this season? Deafness, blindness, career ending injuries?
Anyway, Orange Days is very cool. It reminds me of Long Vacation a lot.
Bokudake no Madonna reminded me more of Long Vacation than Over Time did, despite the latter being written by the same author. Maybe you mean Beautiful Life?
And the correct disease is being mute not deaf. Tsumabuki tried to write his question on paper, but Ko stopped him, implying she could hear what was being said.

She's deaf. She lost her hearing. She can read lips.
