yeah, a fren told me not to sit too close; neither should I sit too far away from the screen & the amplifiers... bleh

anyway, I have got the tickets... as I said, the very thought of watching Tsutsumi san on screen is very tempting; I can't resist his charm... ashamed

Because of Tsutsumi, I had a chance to watch a movie in an open area. I watched "Always" on 9th April in Tamar,it is a special experience for me,however I prefer to watch the film in the cinema. I enjoyed "Always" ,I laughed and cried several times. Tsutsumi performed well and carried the whole film remarkably, that's why he won a lot of awards in Japan. I hope "Always" will be shown officially in Hong Kong later.

new drama special Dancing

according to the news report, http://chuspo.chunichi.co.jp/00/hou/20060428/spon____hou_____001.shtml & the link maycc provided, the story will take place in a peaceful village, where the 1st murder case for the past 11 years is being committed. Shin chan will play the legal assistant () of Kimura, who is the prosecutor. Nakai Kiichi will play the role of a important person in a large company. Full details of the story is not yet available.

Like Good Luck, the legal assistant & the prosecutor always clash at work. However, their role is reversed in Hero special where Shin chan has become the subordinate of Kimura. Looking forward to see what kind of new character will Shin chan play this time Mr Green

Same for free-to-air TV. rant

Film distributors want crowds to fill their theatres so they won't bring in Japanese movies unless it stars really popular stars or are rather high profile. The last two I remember is Beat Takeshi's movies Takeshis' and Chi to Hone. They'd rather bring in Typhoon then some Japanese movie gems. Even the Japanese film fest doesn't show much recent ones. Shake Head

Haha yeah. Those wildly popular movies, but film distributors are ignoring them. I thought Cathay, the only hope we have, might but it looks like we aren't in luck.

Don't worry, the Japanese film fest is in late September. Venue is probably Cathay and the Japanese Association. Not sure what the theme is this year. It was adaptations last year and they showed Tsumabuki's Jose, Tiger and the Fish. Must check with my friend.

Tony Takitani in August! That's about one year after it's premiere in Japan. Geez... Shake Head

Thanks for the link. I'm trying to read it but progressing slowly. Your Japanese is good, nikky! I need to catch up.
