Ashurajo no Hitomi [Blood Gets In Your Eyes], starring -kabuki actor- Ichikawa Somegoro (32, Matsu Takako's older brother) and actress Miyazawa Rie (32), the period/fantasy/romance story, was adapted from a recent stage play of the same name. The film have premiered in Japan on April 16th ago. Producers say they would like to enter the movie at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

English rock star, STING, has recorded the jazz version of "My Funny Valentine" for the ending theme of this movie.

Tells the romance story of a demon slayer (Ichikawa Somegorou) and the female demon (Miyazawa Rie), who apparently, didn't realize she is one, until another demon told her.

So, am I the only one who's really looking forward to this??^.^ I've always had a soft spot on Matsu's brother. I can't really say that he's handsome or good-looking, but there's just something about him that is SO attractive!!!^o^
Then, I recently just watched BRAND (a romantic comedy of a 35 yrs old career-minded and single woman, Miki Imai, with a 25 yrs old man, Ichikawa Somegorou). And he is just soooo cute here! Makes me like him even more!^.^

From the trailer, I can see the movie looks really goood!!^^d The special effects and all! We can see that thou this is suppose to be an Edo period setting movie...but it is also a fantasy-kind one ^_~ Ha...look at Somegorou's black leather outfit when he's slaying those demons! Sooo not in the real -Edo period- era!^^ But, boy, it looks cool!!!
The fight scene between Somegorou and Miyazawa looks cool, too!!

Looks like, first half of the movie will have a light atmosphere, funny scenes here and there, and also seems Somegorou's character is the carefree and fun-loving type of guy. But, later in the 2nd half, think the audience shld prepare some Kleenex x)

Oh, right! Watabe Atsuro is also in the movie...haha, i dont know what his role is...probably, the antagonist, one of the demon...but I dunno^^

Also, sketches of the beautiful sets and sketches of the demon's shapes^^ But, for those who easily-scared type, probably don't visit it at night-time...the audio-visual opening before the main page loads everything, is quite scary x) giving me goosebumps....ha...


Think this one can really beat out that other -crap- demon movie, Devilman x) was sooo disappointed with it....it has -none- storyline (the story is real crap), and the 2 male leads cannot act!!!>_< Those 2 young brothers, really cannot act....I really have no idea, why they were casted....the female leads are still passable, althou I can't say good, either x)

Fight scenes are very ordinary, too dependant on the special effects.

Basically, Devilman has nothing good, except the special effects^^ Should've labeled as a movie which shows off special effects, and nothing more. I like the effects when Akira transforms into Devilman, looks really cool!
