Thanks again for educating me, lol.
Amecon sounds like tons of fun (I don't know the characters you mention though - eek!).
Will you be posting pictures of it? *hopes*
Hmm, so according to you and Aisya_chan, the second Battle Royale film is not as good as the first.
EstherM - oh, Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service? I've got book 1, but to be honest, I haven't finished it yet (and I started it a while ago). The artwork is fab, but I found the stories too slow-moving for my liking. |
I can talk for England
I am going to take loads of pictures... I'm thinking of putting them on livejournal or sommet... we'll see, you can guarantee I will come back broke
Yeah the second film isn't as good, but you should still give it a watch so you can say you've seen it. Watching the first one for the first time gave me goosebumps.
And it does have replay value but like most films it's not nearly as exciting when you know what's gonna happen ^_^ _________________

Íf youLre already stuck at volume one, this series is definitly not for you. The overall tone stays the same thoughout the series.
I have started Godchild, but I havenLt read any of the previous Cain series. Mmmh so far so good

If you like creepy weird manga, with superb artwork, you'll love Gyo, Esther!
I really recommend Ito's Museum Of Terror collections, too. Chilling.
I've already finshed the first Gyo book, and am part way through book 2 - which picks up where book one finishes. And the story is still very unsettling. Brrrrr. *shivers*

Like, lots to the story, or not? I hate it when not much happens.
|
you've seen the dorama right keps? it's as entertaining. but... it doesn't have music . but of course it's more detailed.
and if you like reading better, and are annoyed by the fact that the ones playing the westerner characters in the dorama are japanese, then this one's for you.
although i must say i'd prefer the anime . but i'm just not patient enough to wait finding out what happens next _________________

Aw, but it's Junji Ito! He has the storylines to back up the horror (unlike some horror manga, which is just about being as shocking as possible with the story being secondary).

what's with that Gyo stuff. and it's popularity actually actually got to England |
Finished Gyo 2 today. Blooming brilliant. Just made me admire Ito all the more. Just a pity there is so much other of his work which hasn't been published in English.

Hey Scrapped, are any of those scary? I'm a fan of horror manga, see.
Any fans of Junji Ito here? (That's his Tomie in my avatar).
I've got the 3 Museum Of Terror books - which I love - but getting any others in England is darn hard (maybe Scrapped can vouch for that).
I scared myself a few times by reading about Tomie late at night. |
hi, Im a biggest fans of Junji ito too . I collect all of his comic.and tomie, uzumaki was the best one.
