Thanks again for educating me, lol. Mr Green
Amecon sounds like tons of fun (I don't know the characters you mention though - eek!).
Will you be posting pictures of it? *hopes*

Hmm, so according to you and Aisya_chan, the second Battle Royale film is not as good as the first. Sweat

EstherM - oh, Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service? I've got book 1, but to be honest, I haven't finished it yet (and I started it a while ago). The artwork is fab, but I found the stories too slow-moving for my liking. Sweat

I can talk for England Sweat
I am going to take loads of pictures... I'm thinking of putting them on livejournal or sommet... we'll see, you can guarantee I will come back broke Puppy Dog Eyes

Yeah the second film isn't as good, but you should still give it a watch so you can say you've seen it. Watching the first one for the first time gave me goosebumps.
And it does have replay value but like most films it's not nearly as exciting when you know what's gonna happen ^_^

Íf youLre already stuck at volume one, this series is definitly not for you. The overall tone stays the same thoughout the series.

I have started Godchild, but I havenLt read any of the previous Cain series. Mmmh so far so good

I read Godchild... I own up to volume 5 but have only read the first 4. I like the series, I love Kaori's art so much! (she's one of my favourite mangaka's I own two of her artbooks)

Got my two volumes of Gyo today. From an ebayer in America. They only took a week to reach me!
They're in great condition, just as described.
I've started the first book, and as I expected, I am already entertained, enthralled and appalled by the imagination of Junji Ito.

Not sure I like what publisher Viz have done though - there are no sound effects in katakana, so they must have been erased (Dark Horse wouldn't have erased them). Still, at least they didn't flip it to read left-to-right.

I dunno Monta (never read any NC), but can you describe what the manga is like?
Like, lots to the story, or not? I hate it when not much happens.

I had a nightmare after reading Gyo late one night. Puppy Dog Eyes

If you like creepy weird manga, with superb artwork, you'll love Gyo, Esther!
I really recommend Ito's Museum Of Terror collections, too. Chilling.

I've already finshed the first Gyo book, and am part way through book 2 - which picks up where book one finishes. And the story is still very unsettling. Brrrrr. *shivers* Smile

you've seen the dorama right keps? it's as entertaining. but... it doesn't have music Beaten . but of course it's more detailed.

and if you like reading better, and are annoyed by the fact that the ones playing the westerner characters in the dorama are japanese, then this one's for you.

although i must say i'd prefer the anime Bleah . but i'm just not patient enough to wait finding out what happens next

Aw, but it's Junji Ito! He has the storylines to back up the horror (unlike some horror manga, which is just about being as shocking as possible with the story being secondary). Smile

Finished Gyo 2 today. Blooming brilliant. Just made me admire Ito all the more. Just a pity there is so much other of his work which hasn't been published in English. bleh

Any fans of Junji Ito here? (That's his Tomie in my avatar).
I've got the 3 Museum Of Terror books - which I love - but getting any others in England is darn hard (maybe Scrapped can vouch for that).

I scared myself a few times by reading about Tomie late at night. hehe

hi, Im a biggest fans of Junji ito too . I collect all of his comic.and tomie, uzumaki was the best one.
