Keps-chan, I fully agree with the too little text. I enjoyed it but I went through this really fast and will check out further volumes in my local bookstore before purchasing.
Glad someone agrees.
I'm sure I only made this book last a day or two...sometimes it felt purely like looking at a picture book.

I've got Kare Kano, an omnibus of the first 3 volumes. Unsure what to think, as I've only read a few pages.
Oh, I read Yotsuba&! volume 1 a while ago. This is a sweet manga, but nowhere near the masterpiece of Azumanga Daioh. Still, it's enjoyable enough that I'm waiting on the next two volumes.

Excellent choice. Her innocence is both endearing and laughable.

Indeed. Have you read a lot of the books? I've just finished book 2, and this one was a HUGE leap in terms of story quality, I thought. Much better than volume 1. I'm on book 3 right now.
Kiyohiko Azuma has such a talent for creating very cute, loveable characters you just want to hug!

I've read up until book 5, which came out around February this year.
People are saying it's a bit different from Azumanga Daioh in its humor (haven't read through that yet), but it's still quite funny and a bit light-hearted. I like how all the characters interact, particularly Yotsuba with the sisters and with her dad.
For some bad news...
ADV Manga seems to have closed up shop and there's no news about whether any subsequent books are going to come out after volume 5. So... if you're starting to like it even more... too bad.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo! ADV have closed? I am not happy.
Wonder if they have ever had volume 6? Both places appear to be out of stock, anyway.
Oh, you will LOVE Azumanga Daioh, of that I'm sure. You've got to get the omnibus if you can. It collects all four of the books in one fabulous big book (published by ADV).
It is different to Yotsuba, but not hugely. It 's about five female friends, with a very cute younger friend (ring any bells? ).
Basically, I feel it is broadly similar to Yotsuba, in that it's about the adventures of a group of friends, and a lot of the action comes from the youth of the youngest one.
Ooh, I don't like reading manga online, I prefer books (I like reading in bed!). But, it's nice to know that up to volume 8 is available on the link you provided if I ever need it. Thanks, xploring!

And yay! Nice to have another Yotsuba fan here.
I want one of these -
I prefer having the book, simply because I can't really read an online chapter while commuting to work.
Volume 6 has been solicited, but there is no word as to when it's going to definitely come out. The quote at the Yotsuba wiki states ADV's focus right now is on anime, so the manga releases are indefinite at best. They've never kept their site updated with their manga titles anyways, but it's just not fair if the series is pretty good.
On the figures... they seem to have released a lot of them already. I think I saw one in the Densha Otoko series... or somewhere... I just know I've seen one in a drama already. There's even one for a very devious cardboard robot.
OT: In other manga developments, I just happened to spot the new MPD Psycho volume out today. Easy choice.

Ah, makes sense. Whereas I prefer to read at night, in bed, and no way am I reading on the laptop when I could be snuggled under the covers with a book.

Gah. Thumbs down to ADV.

Whaaaa? Aw, I watched Densha Otoko, but it was before I'd heard of Yotsuba, and I don't remember that from the series. I wish I'd have noticed.
What's this cardboard robot? It must be from stuff I haven't read yet..?

*shivers* MPD Psycho seems a little too dark and creepy for me.
