youtube.com is sometimes good for things like this. I searched for "shamisen" and got some interesting results. I'm also interested in the Okinawan folks instruement, the sanshin, and they have some sanshin clips too.

I suggest listening to the Yoshida Kyoudai (Yoshida Brothers).

They play the shamisen and traditional Japanese folk songs, but with a modern feel to them. They're reaaaally good, you should probably buy the Renaissance album for starters. I might UL a coupla' yoshida kyoudai songs later. We'll see. but if not try the Yoshida Brothers website:

http://www.domo.com/YoshidaBrothers/

They have high-quality music clips you can listen to

wow very cool of you! Bow if you don't mind a piece of advice for future attempts.....i'm very grateful but this suggestion might also make future attempts easier on you...

if you place all the mp3's in the same folder and then compress the entire folder as one file (let's say using WinRar) you could then upload all the mp3's as one compressed file instead of having to upload each file individually..

don't get me wrong i am VERY GRATEFUL for all your work...i'm just tryin' to make it easier for you!

THANKS Mr Green
