..they may be wearing body suits.... (and we pee in them to keep warm 2).. but yeah they shave.. it doesn't make them better its just the style man... (although top surfers swear by shaving their legs... =X )
now i have to go to sleep.. big day tomorrow...
actually, you forgot to mention that us surfers shave not b/c it may make us better surfers, but when you wax the boards and you're all hairy and $hit, the wax can rip the hair of those body parts and hurt like hell! (fortunately i'm not that hairy enough to HAVE to shave other body parts).
Heres to backing fellow surfers up, LL!
(BTW, bikers like Lance Armstrong shave their legs too, b/c it's better to treat wounds that way) _________________

LIKE a true surfer? I guess you are right. if i live in california, i'll be a real surfer. out here in the east coast, the waves aren't as big, so i can only go once in a while, and if the swells sux, than no surfing for me...

Right. That's a logical explanation.
LL does sometimes shoot out without thinking sometimes, but i try to think he means well. _________________
do you use electric or regular blade? i use the disposal blade. it doesn't work very well. what do you guys recommend? which razor blade works well, or should I invest in an electric blade?
Shaving for me incorporates steps for a good shave:
1. Hot warm shower will soften and open hair follicles and stubble is easily removed.
2. Depending on your skin, use a preshave product. Shaving cream.
3. Shaving brushes are good for exfoliating and applying the product. Look for badger hair brushes if you got the money.
4. Razors - I believe in disposable razors. Moveable head with two blades. I do have an electric razor but not for facial hair.
5. Shaving - Do not speed shave. Take your time. Follow the natural grain of your face, do it wrong and you can have bumps or ingrown hairs. Remember to clean your razor with warm water after each stroke because you don't want to shave when the razors have stubbles of hair in them.
6. Cold water after the shave. Use aftershave, stay away from high-alcohol aftershaves, go for balm or gel (natural or essential oils).
Try this and you'll have a good shave done by you.

How many surfers on jdorama.com? Although I haven't surfed for several years now, I used to be a hardcore gromit when I was younger and my teenage years. I used to have the talk, in my garage, I would shape and help fix dings or repair friends surfboards. Have Bob Marley, Steel Pulse, Pato Banton or whatever was on KROQ going on.... The old days.
I named my baby son (Christian Curren) after my favorite surfter Tom Curren and aerial specialist, Christian Fletcher. I grew up as a big fans of the styles of Sunny Garcia, Derek Ho, Martin Potter but way back then, my dream was to surf as smooth as Tom Curren or Kelly Slater.
Perhaps someone should create a thread dedicated for those who surf...

count me in as one, altho i can't be considered one anymore now that i'm in dc. (at least 3 hr to get to the beach, and the swells here after 3+ hr drive sux to no ends). Last time i rode was last yr @hawaii. SOOOOO much better than antything the east coast may have. out where you're at, KT, it aint bad either, [ȁ[I
Being that we've strayed from shaving to surfing, i'm gonna stop now... _________________

i've been bald before myself and it is actually more work/maintenence because you have to (or at least i did) shave every 2 or 3 days so you can keep those stubbles at bay. _________________
